My husbands all time favorite is apricot pie!! He gets one for his birthday...and then one for Christmas...but then in the winter I have to use the dried apricots. I would just love fresh-off-the-tree apricots. Yummmm! Nothing like the real thing.
I like them straight off the tree, The rain and the birds took care of the ones we did have on our tree but was able to have a very few, They are expensive in the stores. Enjoy your jam
When I lived in Calif. a zillion yrs ago I had a large apricot tree. Loved to see it in bloom and I love apricots. Jam will be fabulous/Lillian
Apricots yum!
I like to make vanilla apricot jam and then When I have had enough jam making I make stewed apricots and freeze them.
Can i have ALL the seeds please???My hubby is eating them and getting well???Hugs
I am not being smart i mean it ok
I have never seen an apricot tree. You are so blessed to have one. I do love apricot jam and I guess you could also freeze them. Kay
My Mother made apricot candies from the dried fruits by boiling them down in sugar water quite a long time (sorry, 35 years ago at least) and then rolling in sugar. She kept the finished candies in a tin.
Great producing tree you have...you will surely be a busy bee!
I do not like apricots, however I do like jam. I mostly make compotes.
Ooh! Apricot jam is my all time favourite. I buy one from New Zealand and it's amazing! Your tree certainly has prolific fruit. What about Apricot glaze, stewed Apricots, chutney etc. etc. I'm sure you will find lots of things to make. I love the link that Gerry has given you. I just Googled Apricot images and there are some amazing desserts that can be made!!! Love Chris
Thanks Chris for trying. The link did not work, but let to a Banana Streusel Bread. Very, very tempting.
O.K. type in the website joyofbaking.com etc. and then type in Apricot Glaze in the search bar! Love Chris
Your tree looks wonderful! I hope your jam making gives you a lot of pleasure, not only making it, but also seeing the yummy results (I love a nicely filled cupboard) and eventually eating it.
you can pick and prepare and freeze them until you have time to do something with it i normaly freeze them in batches of 2 kilos so that you can handle it with ease hope you have time to use your lovely fruit
They look delicious and so will be the jam , I hope to taste it one day........I added a link with a lot of apricot recipes.....Love Gerry
Thank you for the links. First I need to preserve them. This only lasts for about 2 weeks and then they are done. I am sharing with the neighborhood.
They look delicious!!! You are so lucky to have a productive fruit tree. Have fun jamming!
We love apricots if you have any to spare!
