Cuties if you just want to play, or if you need pattern weights like I did, go to Bernina blog and get this free design file.

I've stitched it twice, using all the same colors but in diffent order/steps. I just have purple on just one though but they both have a different look.

I have stuffed them with these poly pellets, for weight. You could use this pattern for pin cushions, by stuffing with something else. You could also use them for a toss game of tic-tack-toe...so many uses....

#1 before stuffing-pin is where opening for filling is

#2 both stuffed

#3 pellets I used by Fairfield. I had this bag left, from the weighed dolls I made Avery and Nora and I still have a lot of pellets left.

sewmom has the Bernina blog link, in her weekly Community/Freebie post

Thanks so much for sharing this great idea. I have 3 pieces of fabric that I have to use in a challange and they are all pretty dull. We can make anything as long as we use each of the fabrics but I haven't been able to come up with anything.. This would brighten them up. I think I will stuff them with the crushed walnut shells and call them pincushions.

Glad I got your light on, your thinking cap, to make your projects. Let us see when you finish.

Lovely idea...thanks for sharing this with us. Great way to use up some of those threads that are too nice to toss out but not enough to do a large project. Avis

Thanks Loralye, these stitch out fairly fast, so when you feel like getting to your machine, go for it.

These are very nice. I've never used pattern weights before, but I've heard lots of folks say they are easier to use than pins and keep slippery fabrics from skewing. I love the bright colors on black.... funny how the same colors in a different order make them look very different.

Weird, but true, about the change in color order. I never used any weights either, but I always have to place 'something' to hold slippery fabric on the table.

I love how different they both look. Great idea with the beads, I have some somewhere. I could use some pattern weights and I like the look of these. Thanks for sharing

I didn't like filling with the 'sand' idea, that Bernina showed and I remembered I had this I could use. I could have used them too when that blue dress I just cut, was slipping and sliding across my table.I made these out of an old dress pant leg-lol-recycle recycle-lol

I was curious to see they used sand, I would be worried it would find its way out eventually and leave a mess. Love your idea much better.

Yep, like I said above, just stuff with something different as these pellets are hard.

The threads make the colors, as the fabric is black. On the original weights, it has a strap which I didn't add here.

WOW those are really pretty.. It is always amazing to see how things looks just switching colors around. Thank you for mentioning that you stitched on black. I had not enlarged the pict and presumed it was black thread.. sure that helps the thread to pop..
Off to see if I can find the pattern.

phone1lady asked so I put the link, but you may need to translate. If not, it shouldn't be too hard to scroll down to the design.
Yes, the black makes the bright colors stand out....the purple not so much though.....

Thanks for the link...I looked last night but didn't find the correct one.. Love the machine cover the lady made with it also. I some times will copy and paste to a translation, but got it without this time.

I need them last week ,to hold that slippery fabric of Norras blue dress, on the table. You could also use them for paper weights I suppose.......
