What a wonderful idea. I had a friend that lost a 17 yr daughter in a car wreck and the ENTs forgot to get her purse out of the car for her ID. The parents were devastated as they could have been with her in the hospital before she died.
How very sad............yes this was a wonderful idea, that if even but one life is saved, it is a good thing indeed.
What a terrific idea - I think I like the vertical best, but either one would work. I am constantly amazed at how talented our Cuties are and how they are always contributing to the greater community. Many thanks.
You're welcome and I am thankful for what I've learned on this site and all the help I've received from Cuties. I am truly blessed.
Absolutely fantastic idea, could save many lives.
It's a fantastic idea Toogle for saving children's or adult's life, and so simple to realise. I like the vertical this is more readable for assistance.
Thank you for sharing and Amitiés de France
I made the rest vertical because I too, thought you could read better, even though the other way has bigger letters. Thanks for looking- Toogie
Toogie, this is fantastic. Who would have thought. Yes, I can see my little ones with this and hopefully their mom's and dad's would like this. Why not adults also?? We can only hope we are not in accidents but who knows. This could be a life saver for many. I like the vertical one the best--I think it brings it to attention moreso than the horizontal one.
I agree with the vertical, the last one. I made one for mom, step-dad, dad, me and an extra for mom, for when washing one.
Soon though, she will have outgrown some of our special car seats and then I don't know what I'll do. They are outrageously priced for her size. She is almost 11 and she is so tall.
Luckily, the PT clinic where mom used to work had patients donate these 2 when their patients outgrew them, so we didn't have to buy these large special ones. I have one and Ashley the other. There are situations that prevent us from just exchanging the seat. For instance, if Avery is sick at school and mom working, I need a car seat to pick her up. I have to take her wheelchair apart to fit in my trunk.
Gosh, Toogie - what a wonderful idea!! Hugs to you, Laura*
Thanks, Toogie. We all probably know someone who needs this little helper.
I haven't seen these before but they are such a good idea. Thanks might just have to make a set
This is fantastic. This is needed for so many people. I like the vertical one best. My daughter is a first responder and I will let her know about these. This was very thoughtful of you to share with everyone. Now I need to go measure and make a model set. I have some friends I need to make these for. Thank you
What a wonderful idea....this is smart... my Mom uses a small cover for her seatbelt so it doesn't rub her neck.... she travels 400 miles to come to my house and has diabetes ... this would be a good idea for her as a quick something.... she always keeps info in her glove compartment, but this would be a quicker thing.... Thanks for the idea. :)
You can never leave too much information, so make her one for her a little 'surprise.
The best invention ever for health issues........kudos to the inventor and what a great job you have done, Toogie, for Avery.........
These are a brilliant idea for anyone with a medical issue Child and Adult alike. Hopefully Avery never has to use these.. Marian
Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea.. and how you made them..
Love it. Yours sure look great.
This is a great idea. I have family members who will benefit from this thanks from sharing.
You are most welcome and I love to share anyway. I want this idea to spread to the public, EMT, fire and rescue, etc making them aware to check the straps for information.
Toogie, this is a great idea, information that is vital, now there for all to see quickly when needed. Well done. Sandra.
I thought it was a great idea, that needed to be shared and shared again. I was so excited to tell Cuties!!!!
What a great idea. Would even be handy on a wheel chair for a stroke victim with Dementia. My late Father was both a Stroke and Dementia patient confined to an electric wheel chair. In what we thought was a secure unit. But he was known to be a bit naughty and apparently watched people press the number code for the exit door. Well one extremely hot 40 deg C plus day he decided he wanted a bottle of Coke and snuck out off to the shopping centre close by. Trouble is his battery went flat and he was stranded on the footpath on the way back. Lucky for him he was noticed by someone who was on their way to work at the Nursing home. He was very dehydrated in a short amount of time. Something like this attached to his chair would have helped. living 2,000 klms away was hard.
I am sure that scared you, when you heard. It's a shame they didn't miss him for so long, if he was returning when the battery failed.
I believe any medical allergy, pre-existing condition, info would be helpful to those rescuing the victims, but be sure to add the name.
A great idea. Hugs
Yes, it was, but not mine. Thanks for looking, hope you soon get relief from pain ....and get that haircut!-lol
great idea ,and well done
Not my idea, but you're right about it being a great idea. Thanks for looking.
Brilliant idea! I hope word of this spreads.
So do I Jerrilyn! I'm trying to do my part and I know someone on the Fire Department/Rescue that I want to make aware to BOL (be on the lookout) for these Medical Info Straps. He then can pass the word, too.
Terrific idea, Toogie and such an easy way to possibly save a life! God bless you for passing this idea on to us!
Oh I was so excited to share, as many of you are in need of this, like us. Maybe you can think of someone to benefit from a set, or just one if its an adult.
Such a brilliant idea and of course so simple. Often the simplest ideas are the best. I can think of lots of medical conditions that could be put on these. Well done Toogie, it looks really effective and I love your Snaps!!! Love Chris
A great use for the Kam snaps, Chris. Ashley said she hates washing velcro and these will have to be removed and washed often, as our girl drools so much.
I agree that simple ideas are often the best ideas. Now why didn't any of us think of these, when Cuties were making them before!
I cannot believe all the symptoms Avery has. She certainly has some serious medical conditions. Thank God you are there for them all, you are one in a million Toogie. Love all your work and the care you take for your family. Love Chris
P.S. I like the wording going from left to right as in picture 4 and 5 too. Love Chris
Great idea...
It was, wasn't it! I wish I knew who thought of it to give credit and thanks, for such a simple, but maybe lifesaving idea.
Clever idea!!!Well done
I think whoever thought of this was brilliant! It will help so many people, not just children. Thanks for looking-Toogie
What a great idea. Especially good for special needs children but probably would be a good idea for all little ones. I know many will appreciate that you shared this.
You are right about children or adults with allergies or any medical condition. I also thought it would be good for Alzheimer patients, lots of uses.
This is such a wonderful idea for our loved ones who may not be able to speak for themselves. And you are right.... red letters on black background makes it stand out and will be seen (vs a busy print). Thanks for showing us.
Sharon, I'm in the process of making more for each of Avery's parents & grand parents, for their carseats they have for her. Anybody with drug allergies would need one with their name, in case of an accident.
A brilliant idea and very well done. Very thoughtful of you.
Dennis, I think I'm a slow thinker, as Avery is almost 11 years old. Such a simple item, but a wonderful idea. My daughter, Avery's mom is a Physical Therapist and she is always looking out for things to improve Avery's quality of life as are many of h
....many of her friends.... I got cut short....did you have anything to do with that!-lol
