The blanket looks very pretty and the compromise worked well.
I wish my sewing room was (temporary) empty - I need to get rid of half the contents to be able to move freely - I can understand you can hardly wait to see yours finished!
Darling blanket. I'm not sure the goal is a perfectly neat sewing room, as yours evidences! hehe
Well done, in such adverse working conditions!
Dennis, I thought we were not going to resort to name-calling?! But, good to see you here and with your usual spunk.
This baby blanket you'd made looks delightful& a better choice than your grandchild's fabric suggestion too.It took several years before my dear husband assisted me in preparing a sewing room previously I'd sewed in a bedroom corner area so I understand some of the wait. Thanks for sharing it& hopefully you'll be enjoying a place to be creative too. :~D
Caroline, I'm so happy to "see" you posting here. Love your cuddly blanket and you made me laugh with Tym's fabric suggestion. One of my grandsons are 6, so I understood completely.
When my darling daughter makes "suggestions" around my house, I invite to go ahead and fix whatever it is that she deems undone. Sometimes I'm quite pleasantly surprised.
I do hope your husband will soon realize the need for the sewing space and you can let your creative child out of prison. :)
Looks very cuddly and I am glad you were able to guide the choice of fabric. Hopefully you get your sewing room back soon.
Welcome back from wherever it is that you have been Caroline. My opportunity to congratulate you on your past elevation to the highest order of Cuties (a Moderator no less). I shall have to watch my 'p's' and 'q's' even more so, what with you ganging up with Mrs S, Still, you've both been as thick as thieves for ages...................so no change there! Wet in Wales..................I can't believe that. Not having children myself (apart from the two dogs) I have never understood the grandparent thing where daughters (and/or sons) come visiting and instantly start reorganising your own home! However, I understand it to be the new way, so what do I know.
Now, back to the blanket. What a nice job and a kindly thought to be doing this for someone else. It is difficult doing these things when you haven't got your own space but don't blame hubby unduly as I suspect you have him working on other important projects. Your photography seems fine to me. All in all, well done and welcome back.
I try....................I try...........it's what is known in the man world as survival!
Welcome back Caroline, I've missed you. My brother in law and sister in law are over in England, but I'm not sure if they are visiting Wales. I'll have to check. I know they are in Ireland at the moment.
This looks very cuddly, I hope you can eventually get back into your sewing room and start to make it 'messy' once more, only joking of course. Love Chris
Hi Chris. Thanks for your comments. Since moving nearly a year ago the house and grandchildren has taken our time. Its jolly wet here so I expect Ireland is too
