I need recommendation on tear away.

For a long time I had a big roll of tear way and it was wonderful. I had no problems with fuzz or little pieces refusing to be pulled out. I do not remember the manufacturer and what I have bought so far......well I am not impressed. Hoping you guys can tell me what you are using. Thanks

I use Floriani tearaway, but it is pricey. I can buy it nearby, so I figure what I save on shipping makes it more affordable. I do like how cleanly it tears.

I do all of my embroidery shopping at Allstitch. I can't remember the entire address since I have it bookmarked. I get all of my tools, stabilizers, threads, bobbins etc there. It is a USA company based on Maryland. They do charge shipping if your order is under $150. But their quality is excellent and their service can't be beat. I always make a big enough order that I don't have shipping charges. If there is another embroiderer near you, go in together to avoid shipping charges. Thanks for all you do for us.

I buy a 25 yard roll from sewingmachine.com, I think for under $14. It's their lowest price no name brand and I love how it tears and how it holds the stitches. It has a crispness unlike others I have tried. They also offer the pricier kinds, such as Floriani. I'm a walk in customer, so I don't know about their shipping. Also, quite excellent price on the big cones of thread in several brands, if you need more thread, and who doesn't?

I just bought two 50 yard rolls at world weidner . Spend at least $19.00 and you'll get free shipping and fast too. They are located in Oklahoma USA

Have ordered from this place before---thread not cheap though but good prices on stabilizer----if you don't buy a branded name.

bevintex by bevintex 23 Jun 2016

I've never bought their thread but do buy all my vilene and stabilizers there

I buy a huge amount of vilene from them. Great service too.

Do you also order your thread from this place? If so, which brand and do you like it? They really have good deals here but don't know what the shipping of these products would be, especially, adding 50 yd roll of stabilizer. Very interested to know.

Put your products in a cart then you will be able to get shipping costs before you actually buy, price too high-don't buy

I buy the Metro brand...don't care for the Sigma and haven't tried the Glide. I have all their 5000m cone colors and filled in the colors with the 1100m cones...wish all were 5000m cones though...Love this thread and also their prewound bobbins...I have never had a problem with anything from them...I find the shipping very reasonable for USA...I use their flat rate shipping when possible...

I use Gunold tear away
Item #: 663W2018
QUICK TEAR 2018, 1.8 oz
23" X 125 YD. ROLL
TEAR-AWAY

Your Price: $ 81.50 RL Quick Tear 2018 is a 1.8 oz. heavy weight tear-away backing that tears easily and cleanly. It is best used on heavy denim, canvas, caps, corduroy, cotton twill, hats, leather, lingerie, sheets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, towels and robes. Tear-away backings should be used on woven materials that have little stretch and don't need much stabilization, and in situations where the reverse side of the embroidery can be seen (towels, sheets...etc.) 2018 is a wet-laid backing which is best for embroidery because it doesn't stretch in any direction.
I just cut up a bunch of the sizes I use and stitch away until they are gone and then do it again. 125 yds lasts a long time, but I don't sew like Vicki and Carolyn. :)

I have a selection of rolls from Lords Sewing in Oswaldtwistle, Lancs and Sue gets huge rolls and chops them up from somewhere in Nottingham. Both of which are pretty useless places to buy from for you unless you want to come and visit us in the UK.

Would love to visit if that would not in tale getting on a plane. I am too tall, to big and too old for that. Just told my younger siblings that I would host and begged for them to do the travel. Yeah!!!!!! they will do in September.
