After the success of the blanket for Caleb my older daughter requested a taggy blanket to match then a blanket and taggy for another friend who had recently had a son. All this has been followed by a further request by a friend who wanted the name Orin on a taggy.

All the work is on soft cuddle fleece and apart from Caleb the fabric on the reverse is a pale blue cotton with brightly coloured handprints. The names were done with my PE design.

My embroidery machine is still sitting on my husbands desk and I am trying to make as much mess and disruption as possible in the hope that my sewing room will get to the top of his list.

Now Caroline, this work looks just perfect and for which I am pleased for you. However, I'm going to let you into a bit of a trade secret for when it comes down to husbands getting things done, It's the "Rules According to the Necessary Priorities of Man." You see, if you make such a wonderful job of something (as in your case here) whilst in the face of the adversity of having to use half of your husbands desk and part of the stairway (see daughters safety comments earlier) then the man naturally assumes that all is well given that you have been able to overcome all such adversities. It follows that this particular project may therefore be further prioritised in a downward direction. It is a dilemma, I know, since to ruin a project in order to 'make your point' only serves to frustrate you further and waste time and money on a ruined project. I cannot give you the answer, for that would be breaking with tradition of us men sticking together. Maybe, the ladies of Cute can advise further................lol. Wonderful work though.

lol nice try Dennis I am so happy that is not the case all the time lol we would be a real mess if it were lol

Thanks Dennis. For the advice and on my work. I'm not even trying to use the machine at the bottom of the stairs. My husband was up on the roof today and he and his assistant appeared to be hoovering it but then as I declined to join in they might have been up to something else. (The house is 3 stories high so I was delighted that the grandson of 2 was asleep or he would have wanted to join in the roof top fun)

I find making these fun. I was listening to the radio while I did them, keeping up to date with what's going on

I think some plaster work needs doing and electrics before anything else.
