It's lovely to see you, Patti, I like the vest and you look good!
Hugs, Lidia
You have done a good job on the vest seeing as it is a while since you crocheted.
Next time DH asks what's for Dinner say " Nothing I am on a Diet seems I am getting FAT"
He will quickly realise his comment came out wrong.
I think you have done a great job with the vest, it certainly is very smart. Next one you make could be a little longer, but this one is fashionable. Men don't know how to give nice complements. Sandra.
I would like to make another but not going out to buy more yarn at this point. Would need at least 5-6 skeins for longer version.
Nice pattern and great job crocheting the vest...sounds like your hubby needs a nap!
He naps quite a lot. Me, I can't sleep at night let alone taking a nap. Toogie led me to this YouTube video and just had to try while watching t.v. at night. Love the idea of how easy it was=easy for me.
This vest is gorgeous.....tell you hubs that he doesn't have an eye for "style".........you look fabulous!
Too true--we are talking about a man that only wears blue jeans, t-shirts and black fuzzy socks!!!!! Thank you for your compliment.
Hey Patti, you did great! A pity you didn't have enough yarn, to make the length you wanted.....What's wrong with hubby!!??? I think you look great! Love your short hair cut. My daughter and I like mine short but I can't cut my front too short, because its so straight, I have widow's peak and it sticks out straight in front!...I like those glass containers on the left with sewing stuff in them, too.
You did really great on it, but I agree it looks a little short. Maybe because it did come out short, it caused it to look a little small for you, and that's the reason for hubby's remark..... Maybe you could find a color to match, or a variegated to match, and extend the length of the circular part. If you would have had enough yarn to make the circular part longer, the back itself may be okay. I don't think I would rip all the circular out to extend the back itself, but you may want to try that on your next one. ....just a suggestion...you really look great and if it made hubby feel better to say that remark, then he's the one with the problem, not you. ..Sorry, I just had to say that.....
I loved that vest but knew I did not have enough yarn. Was stretching as far as I could with what I had, just to try. Would really love this but longer. Maybe this will go into the Homemaker Auction--will see.
Forgot to say--I can see where you did the upside down T. By looking at mine I can see ways to change it slightly to fit my form.
It is lovely! I wish I could still crochet, something about the wrist action bothers my wrist.
I have to do little at a time. I wear one of those arm sleeves. I get swelling due to mastectomy and no lymph nodes under arm. It's been years but occasionally it flares up. Upper arm 2 inches larger than right one. It has been hurting also.
Well done Patti and you know now how much to have for your next article. Men, gosh, they can be so insensitive sometimes!!!! Love Chris
I take comments in stride these days. I know I've put on weight. At this point I say 'Who cares'. I was short yarn and I know it--I was playing with Toogie's YouTube suggestion.
