Love the Crown or Tiara. I wouldn't be game to burn off the shaggy bits with my luck it would catch and I would burn the lot.
You only hold the fabric near the flame not in it just enough that the organza melts. You can also use a soldering iron but I have not tried that technique yet.
Don't feel like the lone ranger I've done this also and it isn't funny or fun!
I'm sure the newer members will appreciate the warning.. Good luck with your Organza. Marian
I hope that your new test stitch will turn out beautifully. Such bad luck about the previous one. Love Chris
How disappointing. I don't do much FSL, however it is so pretty. Sonia Showalter's FSL stitches out nicely. Kay
Good luck with the next design, sorry you had such a mishap!!!
What a shame...so sorry...thanks for reminding us all to check first...stitch later...
That can be so discouraging. I've made a ton of mistakes in my learning process and had to throw away some. Maybe use the thread in one of those thread coasters you see posted here from time to time.
I did that in the beginning. My rose fell quite apart. Devastating.
Aw, I hate that. Thanks for public service announcement. I needed that reminder.
I have done that a few times. The first was a beautiful fan. Only part of it came apart and I still hope to salvage what is left for something. I now look at stitch count and run it through wilcom or another digitizing program. If it has a strong understitch it should be good. Some are not so strong but still work, so again sometimes it is hit or miss
Oh no. I can imagine your disappointment when 15 of the designs fell apart. I am sure they will look great embroidered on organza over WSS as stabilizer.
Bummer! Hate that happened to you. Hope you can work it out with chiffon,. Organza, net. Good luck/Lillian
Oh no, I feel bad for you. I must keep this in mind and test the first one if I am not 100% sure.
Oh, bless your heart, I hate that happened to you. At least you're still trying. Once something fell apart from me, I kinda stay shy of wasting my time again, and it was FSL.....what are you making with the lace, may I ask?
Hi Toogie I am a bit reluctant to do them again but they look so good embroidered out and would be perfect for making into crowns for dd birthday party.
