Don't think I already posted. Quilted wallhanging for homemaker auction [if it exceeds the reserve I have] Machine embroidered birds are from Emblibrary--stipple is freebie. Planning stage, materials and assemblage was done by me and I had another do the embroidery part so we could both get credit. I stippled the border sash by free motion. It was embroidered on the top, batting and backing sandwich then trimmed top and batting back one inch from backing. I joined those, then folded twice to top and topstitched with a curve stitch on my machine. Joined small blocks to make a row, then joined the long rows. I could not find a topic on this type quilting without having to buy a book, which I did not want to do. Thank you for looking.

It's very pretty. You should have no problem exceeding your reserve.

Thank you Martene. I hope it does also. I don't quilt much--ever--and hardly keep anything for myself.

Our homemaker council decided they did not want to do rummage sales but I might suggest a baking auction. I go to a meeting on August 4th. Maybe we could change it up a bit and do the baking for our Holiday Workshop auction. Thanks for the idea.

Thank you Pat. It was a lot of hard thinking I can tell you that. I am just now finishing up a label to hand stitch to the back. Actually had forgotten it needed a label.

I started this before my mom died 2015. Too much paperwork and phone calls to stay busy with the planning of this. So glad to be done.
