they look absolutely fantastic!!! Kids will have hours of fun playing with these! ~hugs~
Hey, I found you a freebie design, if you want to put it on a shirt to match while they take their 'ride'/trip.
They are so cute! You have done an amazing job with sewing everything. Is your fabric faux suede? Also would like to know the yarn you used. I like your 'mane' here better than on Banana's pattern. Are the eyes hard to find?
Thank-you Yes, the fabric is faux suede. It will be on sale at JoAnn"s from August 8-18.
The yarn is Lion Hometown USA El Paso Autumn. If you separate the yarn into its separate parts, it becomes more full and crinkly. The best price I found for the eyes was here:

I bought quite a few since I have so many grand-children. If you also purchase the eyelids, it finishes them off nicely. I am thinking of gluing some cheap false eyelashes on the next one I make.
That sounds cute and show us your 'pretty girl mare' when you do! Thanks for the info. Do they ever put the pattern on sale?
It's the 24mm plastic safety eye. It's round, the oval shape is white fabric that you add as a backer. I don't think the pattern has ever gone on sale. It was worth it to me because I was going to use it so much. I know that there are some free patterns out there, but I wanted something very realistic and with an open mouth. Also, this makes a really good size horse head. Some are pretty small.
I am full of questions, and a few other things we won't mention-lol, but is the dowel attached with a zip tie or glued to keep it secure? I guess if I'm that interested I should just get the pattern, uh?-lol
Yours came out so nice, even the bridle. I like the bells it looks like on them too, to keep up with the kids.I clicked on and got a larger view.
These are beautiful you are very talented
Thank you. Of course, I didn't post my first one...I used a fabric with some stretch to it..Boy that was some large horse with tons of stuffing!!. But, I am one of those craftsman who learn from their mistakes.
