My tensions being really weird. I sell patches on etsy and ran out and the last batch i made was in december, but im pretty sure it worked just fine with the normal tension setting. I un threaded and re threaded the top thread and wound a new bobbin, and turned the tension from 4 to 3, which made the bobbin loops on the top less bad but it still won't sew right. I do have a different brand thread now thats a bit thinner and black instead of white in the bobbin, but i used that brand for other parts of the patches before and it worked fine. I don't feel like trying to set up another 6x10 with tearaway (why are the big hoops ovals?) right now so i might switch back to the white bobbin later, but i was wondering if you guys had any other suggestions

I realized i made a really stupid mistake and trusted the spray adhesive to not gum the needle. I got a new needle and everythings going better now

Yes, the trusted spray adhesive also does this. I have other adhesives that aren't supposed to gum up the needle but still trying to use up the old ones. I keep a little bottle of silicone liquid near my machine. I put a drop on my finger and have to rub it over the needle every so often to get rid of the sticking stuff. Anything important to stitch I use the good stuff.

I have a Brother Galaxie 3000. If your machine was working well last night then its something from today. Rethread top and spool at the bottom and a new needle. Its easy to think your spool is in place and it isn't. Very rarely have I needed to alter the tension on my machines and if I have its by 0.5 Good Luck

I don't know your machine but have you put it back into sewing mode then changed it to embroidery. Checking each step as you go?
Maybe you haven't got something set quite right.

Could I suggest that you say what brand of machine you have then there will probably someone with the same machine, I know you say you have re threaded the machine but I would put a new needle in the machine and re thread again before testing.

Also this literally started just today. I had the machine in sewing mode at midnight last night and no problems
