Nice work Vicky. Apart from making connections that don't influence the overall designs there's no way to avoid jumps between loose elements.
You are so right, Martine.....I love doing the doodles however, some of the jumps are what make the design so unique.......I am hoping that in the new Bernina 8, I will be able to change the start and stops on some of these those won't let me do it now......
I'm with Martine...jumps are the bane of a digitizer...and oh how we hate those pesky unnecessary jumps...and it can be so time consuming to path them out...can't wait to see how many you can eliminate...and I bet it will not impact the look of the design very much either...very nice design and I love the gold!
It will have an impact in the look, Kim....the little swirls I digi'd inside the bee bodies had to almost all be eliminated, since upgrading to Bernina 7, I am unable to change the stitch start and stop on some of the stitches.... boo hoo.......so dis something else in the bodies.........
Do you plan on getting Bernina 8 or waiting until the bugs are worked out? I am not sure what to do. Kay
The newer Berninas are more complex than buggy. I got a new 580 that drove me nuts...but it did have a beautiful stitch. A few months later I upgraded to the Babylock and it automatically cuts the top and bottom thread so there are no jumps to trim. You have to be careful for what you wish for, however, because with every trim the thread gets knotted on the back and those knots can be scratch on the skin
I get the impression you are talking about two different things: the software and the machine(s).
It's a vey pretty design, Vicky. Jumps, ggrr indeed, the bane of a digitiser's life. It may be a nice challenge to get rid of them but boy, is it time consuming!
Good design bet it looks better in real life. Nice that you don't want too many jump stitches some digitizers don't care and it drives us nuts.
