Update about embroidery machine. i should have listen to all of you. But i wanted a larger hoop so much I decided to make a bid in EBAy and won. The machine arrived two days ago. What a disappointment. It looks like it was taken from a trash can it has stains everywhere, Missing most of the sewing feet. Even the electric cord is missing so I have no idea if the machine works... I am very sad and angry. I sent a message to the seller I really hope he/she could respond soon So I can return this piece o junk Even if the seller gives me a hard time I still have paypal credit protection. Hope I can return it and my money will be refund so I can keep looking for one.

This morning I got another response, the seller was asked by Ebay for photos So I did send more photos including the old stain box that was used and the peanuts. Thank God I did not throw these things. Will see what happens.
When I get my complete refund I will look for another machine. I saw one at Jo Ann fabric good price but I do not know to much about it. It is the Singer Futura xl240 Does any of you is familiar with it. Jo Ann fabric has it on sale for 500

Mary again you have been given excellent advice. Have you said to the seller that you have contacted ebay about the sale and have you put feedback on the seller. If not do both as quickly as possible. Poor feedback has stopped me buying from sellers in the past. Run your feedback past us first if you have not already sent. Again good luck dear

Paypal & Ebay are both quite reliable & like you I had issues with a seller in the past Edithfarmer is quite right about leaving a review. Views like me rely on the comments & the star ratings. It helps me to make a responsible decision concerning how I spend my money & where. You will being doing other viewers a real service to warn them against this seller. It takes 30 days to resolve an issue I believe, Paypal will not send your money to the seller in the meantime or they will hold it in reserve. Keep us posted & best of luck getting a new machine~hugs~

Apart from getting your money back what I am sure will happen, as Pay pal will repay you, please make sure you rate this person on Ebay with the star rating as not trustworthy. This is so important as the Ebay community usually looks at this, well I do before I buy from a person. Also tell her you will do this.

I hope Ebay will make good on this. I got 2 new left shoes from a seller. The seller ignored my messages, so I contacted Ebay and they returned my money and I did not have to return the shoes. Put it all in a box and set it aside and start your "paperwork." Each step takes a few business days. I'm sorry for your disappointment and aggravation! I hope it works out for you in the end.

I hope this is sorted soon for you. I would definitely file complaint for item not as described and make sure you have copies of the original listing. If you paid via PayPal contact them first and send them any copies of emails from the seller.

This is a disgrace, I sure hope ebay reads all our comments. The reason for this person selling this machine is because there is no patch for it to work with any new Windows updates. The last one it worked with is Windows XP, which is not supported by Windows. I also have the Brother 2100 which is sitting idle unless I can get my Windows XP to work again, as with the newer Windows the version 6 will not read the card reader. I sure hope you get your money back.

Have no fear! I have been selling and buying on Ebay for over 12 years. NO PROBLEMS. Just go to your page then recent purchase then you can check NOT AS DESCRIBED. This will start the refund process. Ebay and Paypal will stand behind you. As a seller I have had 2 refunds but no problem other than buyer changed mind. I did retrun a sewing machine simply because item did not work. Seller said it did but I got my refund.

I just posted an Ellegante for sale but it's local pick up only . But I have sold a Bernina but had it packed by FEDEX. Had it doubled boxed and that syrofoam that bubbles up around item, had no problems at all.

Yes you will get your money back. contact Paypal and report now and start the proceeding, take a little while but you will get your money back. Tell the seller that you have reported to Paypal. If not as described the seller has to pay return postage too, that is if she will be bothering to take it back..

Ebay and paypal will make it good. I would leave negative reviews on that seller too. Every time I have had to go through paypal to resolve something, I got my money back within 48 hours.

This is an absolute disgrace. How can anybody sell a machine looking like that. My heart goes out to you as I know how you must be feeling. Having never bought anything on eBay, I have no idea what their terms and conditions are. Anything looking like this, you surely must get refunded. Please let us know what happens.

Sorry for your experience with no cord you cant use it. From your feet box it looks like a brother super galaxie 2100 i have one of these machines which needs attention and I was told that no spares are available any longer so before you even think of an old machine again do some research on spares, but I would not buy a machine unseen, I did that once not so long ago and was very disappointed so it is now packed up and waiting for my granddaughter to arrive and she can learn on it

I am so sorry this has happened to you. I sure hope you can send it back and get a refund. I would expect the seller to pay for the postage for the return as well. I would have been so upset and angry if this had happened to me. It is a lesson for us to be very aware when buying on e-bay. I don't think I would even think of it. Best of luck. Please keep us posted on what happens. Hugs

Mary sorry this happened to you. Hope it turns out ok in the end. I am mpstly a hands on shopper I like to see what I am getting face to face. Guess that's why I do very little ordering. I have in times past bought and sold a machine on EBay but it was from a reputable dealer with a shop in another state. I did some homework on the dealer prior to buying. I was not disappointed especially since the machine came with a full warrenty. I also became friends with a lady in New York who purchased from me. She was so happy with the machine she bought from me and called me. She and her hubby had a shop in New York but cannot now remember the name of the town. /Lillian

What a disappointment for you Mary, so unlucky this has happened. But at least you used paypal where you should be protected. My husband bought my first embroidery machine on ebay, and we could not of been happier as it was brand new for a fraction of the cost. I have been using this machine for about ten years with no problems. Look at as many pictures as you can and keep asking the seller questions until you have covered everything and are happy. It may take some time to find another, when you get your money back from this unfortunate deal. I hope that you finally purchase what is best for you. Sandra.

The fact that the electrical cord is missing renders the machine useless. That alone is reason to return it. Doesn't E-bay also have a policy about returns? I am so sorry Mary that this has to happen to you. It almost sounds as if this was in storage and the person that shipped it has no clue about the machine. I hope this all will have a happy ending.

Mary I added comments under your first posting but so far you have been given great advice. Can one ask how much did you pay for this machine? They are great machines - Brother Galaxie 2001 and I have used them many, many times and even after 12 years of very hard use they didn't look like your pictures. If there is rust on the outside what damage is there inside. Good Luck and read through ebay advice in your country.

I'm with Bev...what did the pictures look like when it was up for bid on E-Bay...or were these areas that did not have pictures posted? What feet were listed or accessories listed that would come with the machine? If anything was pictured or posted that does not represent what you received, the seller is responsible to make it right...fortunately you do have PayPal...I would file a grievance with PayPal right away.

what kind of machine is this. were there pictures in the description? I would like to have seen the ad and description on what you bid on. I have bought a used one on ebay successfully but went back and forth many times with questions and picture requests, It's sad that you got this "machine". even if you get your money back you still have to go to the trouble to return it.
