these are some really wonderful ideas cuties! Thank you all so very much & now I must decide which one to make. ~hugs & ** to all of you~
I always have big smiles from a simple bag with their name on it. I make them about 12-14 inches tall with medium length handles that they can carry or slip up to their shoulder. There are so many things children do with a bag! I stick to our first grade rules of capitalizing the first letter only. I had one mom show me a bag that now takes workbooks to and from school. One was used just for trips to the library.
How about hooded towel, there are some fun designs to put on the hood or her name, Hugs Cheri
I would make a few stuffies with her name on and a Tshirt
You just cannot go wrong with something to wear. I often embroider t shirts for presents for little ones.
maybe something with 1st Birthday on it or Birthday girl on it. Kay
how about a pretty sunhat. or because her name is so short a banner with her name and the number 1
Well, how about a little dress with some embroidery...stuffies are always good...I made all my great nieces tulle pettiskirts for their first birthday's...
A small square blanket (doesn't need to cover) just for dragging around, with a favorite animal on it, such as doggie or teddy bear.
A fancy dress :):)Wish u where close i got some black velvet and white lace
How about a pillowcase dress, I just made one for a friend and they absolutely loved it and asked for more. They are quick and easy as well as easy to embroidery their monogram on.
A little activity book, to teach how to tie, zip, numbers etc.
Maybe a special tee shirt about being one? I've made them for all my grands to wear on their special day & they wear them all year.
How about some kind of stuffie critters (animals or dolls)? You could make a group of two or three. Just because of her age, so young.
