I use prewound bobbins from Marathon, Thread Art, and Metro. No problems with any on my Brother. My Babylock likes YLI Lingerie thread in its bobbin.
Nearly all of my thread is from ThreadArt--including bobbin thread. I generally use prewound plastic bobbins for regular embroidery--also from Thread Art.
I think my 24 spool set came from ThreadArt. Not had a bit of trouble and sure works better when you are doing small lettering. They have good sales on their threads occasionally.
I get a big cone (brand not always shown) from Long Creek Mill in Gastonia, NC unbelievably cheap and my Brother likes it.
Have never heard of this place, and so went to take a quick look. Great prices! Thanks for sharing. I have a question though, what is air entangled thread?
I find that I have no way of knowing what my machine will like until I buy it and try it out. One of my Bernina machines hates Florini thread, but I had to buy and expensive spool of it to find out. Now I just buy one spool of thread first to try it out. Sometimes my machine will not like just one color in a line of thread as well.
Do not buy cheap thread was the advice from my dealer. It often shreds and bits get into the workings of the machine. I have a varied collection of threads all of which are well known brands. These include Robson Aniston, Madeira, Marathon, Isacord and Isafil. I'm in the UK and know that there are some great threads in the states that other Cuties use but when import duty and post is added on have stopped me buying them. Be a devil and treat yourself to another reel of Brother bobbin thread and see the difference
I use Metro Polyester thread and also the Metro bobbins...I have a BabyLock Ellisimo and have had no problems with either...and they are a good price performer...
I know everyone will have their favorite so you will have an interesting choice to make. I have always used Madiera embroidery thread and the NEB (pre-wound) bobbins for my single needle machine and Coats and Clarks bobbin thread (pre-wound) for my multi-needle machine. I've never had any issues with any of these thread or bobbins so I have always kept on using them.
