Beautiful.........I love your fabric too. You added a lot of extras to yours to make it even more practical.
You did a great job on it.
Bea
oh I like this one even better. they are both so nicely done you did a good job on them
This is fantastic. I admire anyone that is able to finish this as I have heard also it is not for the faint hearted. Having a good strong machine also helps with making these too. Love the colours you have chosen and your added modifications are brilliant
Wow! You have done a wonderful professional job on this. I think it looks fantastic/Lillian
Great job Loralye, fabulous looking clutch. My Janomes have the extra lift that accommodates the bulk, don't know about the lower end machines though. Love Janome machines!
I do too but my Janome 9900 struggled with the bulk until I changed to a 16 needle was ok but I went very slowly. Not the workhorse my Industrial one is that seems much better. Thanks
This is pretty, Loralye! I have trouble with thickness, too, sometimes. Great job!
Excellent!!! You should feel mighty proud of this gorgeous and practical purse. hugs, Meg
Wonderful job Loralye! Your new clutch looks terrific. I know what you mean about how challenging some of these projects can be. Just trying to manipulate them enough to go under your machine's sewing arm can feel like a wrestling match. I recently made a train case that was so stiff I had a tough time getting it far enough under the arm to stitch the final seams.
I'm sure your next clutch will be even easier, now that you've finished the first one. Can't wait to see it.
Wow a challenge indeed, glad you were able to manipulate it enough to get it under. I did have to use the stitch ripper a time or two since I missed catching the sides twice lol I am hoping the next ones will be easier too lol ~hugs~
You are a better woman than I. I'm glad you persevered and now have a lovely purse. Kudos for a job well done.
Karen I highly doubt that but nice of you to say none the less. It was a challenge especially since i have left my instructions @ camp lol. ~hugs~
I wouldn't know where to start making a clutch like this. I know mine wouldn't look as good as yours.
A terrific job with the purse, it looks very professionally made. Love the choice of fabric very smart. Dennis is right, i am sure people who see this shall want one. Sandra.
You have outdone yourself with this purse. I love it. Hugs Shirley
I am not really qualified to make comment on your completed clutch wallet but I'm going to anyway! It is absolutely brilliant and clearly shows the extent of patience and skill that you had to put in to your work. The only problem you will have when out and about with your new wallet will be the number of people wanting to place an order..................I see that Chris has already got her order in! Beautiful job.
ah thank you Dennis that is lovely of you to say. I am planning on trying again but we'll see if I can..........
Looks very well sewn. You did a great job. I know what you mean with the combo machines not being able to handle sewing over a thicker seam.
thank you so very much, I think the heavy machines meaning those made of steel no plastic (fiberglass) are easier todo this amount of bulk. I even trimmed everything 1/4" less batting & stabilizers so the seams wouldn't be as bulky
It looks wonderful Loralye, so professional. You should be very proud of this purse. I'd love one in black and white!!!! Love Chris
LOL thinking of one with Batiks in fall colours & another in blues & teals...........will see how it goes lol thanks Chris ~hugs~
I changed the bungee cords to go @ the top to support the weight of my cell phone & I used invisible thread so it would not show on the front of the clutch. This works really well & they aren't in the way of the zipper or card slots
