Very pretty!
I took a class and made this also. Stitched it on linen. Took a long time.
What a lovely doily and such fun to make ****i use the white fabric a chiefs apron is made out of ***You can buy it in many colors
Most excellent work hugs Carolyn
I think it looks beautiful, well done. I love these doilies, but have never made one! Love Chris
It is very pretty, I use linen or linen polyester stiffened with starch before I do my embroidery. I also check out the curtain department for materials I usually can get a heavy fabric which is ideal for embroidery.
Lovely. Is there supposed to be something wrong with it---was reading comments. I can't find anything wrong----Just looks beautiful.
Do you sew the pieces and then attach to the fabric or embroider right on the fabric?
It is beautiful.
Oh I think you did a lovely job. Will it not press out flat with steam iron and pressing cloth. I'm wondering if perhaps the fabric shrunk a little when you wet the WS stabilizer to dissolve it. I think I would have chosen a med weight tear away stabilizer /Lillian
Lillian , I wash it and then I let everything dry . Then I sew everything together .
I like your doily, the design is beautiful. I use cotton and water soluble stabiliser.
