The monster potholder was definitely a huge party to sew. And im definitely not really annoyed at the entire thing

When you cut out fabric really carefully using the dieline template, and then it sews the placement line, and you line up your pieces really really good, dont you think that more than half of the width of the satin border should be on the actual fabric? You can see on one of the inside borders where the stabilizer tore and since half the border isnt on the fabric, it pulled in skinnier. Whats gonna happen to the paper filled borders when people spill stuff on their monster and throw it in the washer? Theres absolutely wonderfly placed jumps between all the scales, and i forgot that the satin sewed mostly off the edge of the pieces so the border ate my teeth. I decided against my better judgement to do like they said and use tearaway, so obviously it shows on all the edges and is annoying how it feels. Seriously, be careful listening to the urbanthreads people about stabilizer on some stuff
Ooh i forgot, it also sewed a tie and three random stitches in the center of the stabilizer before the placement lines, that also made a big extra jump to cut in addition to the random stitches.
Maybe ill try another one tomorrow with washaway and see then how happy i am with having spent $7 on the design. Cat also yelled outside my door the entire hour it took to finish. Why dont i ever do things that arent completely exasperating at 10:00pm?

The sewing out stages sound a tad frustrating but the finished work is great. My cat loved trying to sleep at the back of my embroidery machine which was fine when the machine wasn't in use but they had to be removed when sewing was going on. Good luck with the next sew out of this design

Looks great anyway...if you have a heat stencil cutter or something like it, run it around the satin stitching being careful not to hold it in one place...it will get rid of the little stabilizer "pokies" and give you a nice smooth finish to the satin stitching...
