If the instructions were hard you have done an amazing job. Well done Loralye
WOW!!! Looks great to me!!! It looks as if you had fun making this sweet jacket!!! I am sure the little one will be warm & cozy in it! Hugs & Blessings, Judy...
thanks Judy, I hope dad likes it so he will put it on her to wear lol. Kids are funny if they don't like it they won't wear it or in this case they won't be it on their daughter. ~hugs~
You can make it a Hoodie without the zip just do the Front on the fold as 1 piece instead of 2. Then use the rest of the pattern as normal.
If you can buy the Kwik Sew pattern books where you live they are great value. They have books for all ages the Toddlers one has Master patterns (which you make a tissue pattern from NEVER cut the Master) for just about everything you would ever want to make and in about 4 sizes. The instructions are so clear and easy to follow. The garment you make could be worn to a Wedding or play in the yard in all from the same pattern just depending on the fabric you choose.
Over the years I bought them all seemed a bit expensive at the time but paid for themselves over and over.
wow I have never heard of these but will do a google search & see if I can find them, thanks so much for the help ~hugs~
thank you so very much I just found one on ebay for $4 complete with master patterns!
That is a lovely coat Loralye and the fold up mittens are useful for tiny hands. Nice work!
The piece looks wonderful and you have fixed the engineered flaws! I would like to think we are alike, although I seem to make things harder on myself at times. I just love your fixes.
thanks Christine, wish it would have been easier but now I know for the next time
Nice job, Loralye...I have used this same pink fleece on buntings in the past...
What a super job you have done Loralye, love the turn back mittens idea. The set is terrific, well done. Sandra.
I think your jacket for the little one is darling. I love the pink and also the turn back piece, that makes her mittens. Cute as can be!
Well done. I have found mccalls instructions to be a little vague too. I usually end up working out easier methods of construction on my own. Love how you made the sleeve mittens
