Recently bevintex (Bev) showed you some lace angels from Stitch Delight. Here is my version with a bit of a twist on the original. Instead of leaving them flat like a taco I shaped mine over a bottle and bent the wings and arms. The first one is done with 2 layers in the skirt. I did the 4x4 size and decreased the size on top layer slightly and increased the bottom layer. This one was done on net and wash away.. The second one is also the 4x4 size but done on a single layer of organza and wash away. The body and wings on both were done on organza. I found that this design did not hold together well using just stabilizer.

I like vey much what you did. Maybe you can come with Christmas village houses to put under the tree with little tea lights inside. Kids would love to have one in their night stand. Thanks. Vilma

I love your idea of using a tea light to illuminate them I'm going to go look for some lights right now.

These are beauties Queen, I had seen those designs on that site. You've done a great job. Your not afraid to resize lace. I read where you aren't supposed to but obviously you've had not one bit of trouble.

I have had lots of problems with Stitch Delight lace. It falls apart because its not designed well. I did one of these angels its OK, not brilliant. May reconsider buying from there again

Nice job, Teresa...I bought one of them, but I can't remember which one I purchased...shame that they don't hold together without organza...you should let Daleen know that you had a problem with them not holding together...she may need to tweak it a bit and re-issue the design...

mine held up fine without organza, I used 2 layers of vilene, They have been improved since first coming out. I was happy with the sew out

I only did one skirt without net or organza. When that one didn't work well I didn't try another.

No problem with the one I did with just vilene (2 layers).

Very pretty Teresa. I bought the patterns and did one but I did not like it that well. I haven't even but it together. I like your twist on them. I liked Bev's also but when I got mine done it just did not look pretty to me. I guess I should finish it. lol Hugs, Gail

They are lovely. Thanks for the info on stabilising. I have this design also but have yet to stitch it out. Will be sure to add some organza when I make it

try at least 1 in 5x7. I added some mylar to the wings for a bit more sparkle. I do like the skirts shaped this way.

Right now I am waiting for a new supply of washaway stabilizer. Then I plan to do some more. I also want to try the other wing styles. I bought 3 different sets so I have quite a few different combinations to work on. I'll have angels flying all over my house.

I think I got all 5. I don't really like the 1 piece ones, they just aren't as nice

I use poly fabric that is amost translucnt with some sparks in it. Also, I use powder glitter to add sparkles to some of the designs, especially for tree ornaments. Vima
