I bought a ScanNCut2 and this is my first project with it. It probably took a little longer to finish since there is a learning curve with the ScanNCut - but, all in all, I liked the results. What do you think? Thanks bunches for taking a peek!!! Hugs, Laura*

They are lovely, Laura. I have tried manually cutting my shapes before as my software gives the option of printing them out, but have not found the luck that you have. I always had one little place to pull away. Yours are perfect.

I also, have tried cutting the shapes before hand - but that is hard to do too. One also has to be very careful at placement on the fabric - being off a millimeter wrecks everything!! Thanks bunches!! Laura*

This is beautiful. I have wondered bout these cutting machines . I have arthritis in my hands and I do not do applique because of it.. Now I have seen the results I will reconsider it.
Thank you for sharing

This one does a good job - but, the learning curve is something else! You have to enlarge the applique shape so that the satin stitches can catch the fabric, plus a variety of other steps before you have your tiny piece of fabric. Once I get a chance to use it often - I believe I will turn to it for mostly intricate designs.. Meanwhile - it makes beautiful cards, place cards, etc. Thanks!!!

The ScanNCut cuts the applique so I just place the cut material on the placement stitches in the hoop and then stitch the satin stitches. I don't have to take out the hoop and cut around the applique material (something that I am not very good at!!). The ScanNCut cuts precisely. Thanks!! Laura*

Can't pick a favorite. Both are cut and love those towels and colors of them. I want one of everything thing I see in the software, tool etc world but afraid I just don't want to read and learn a lot. My brain stays too fuzzy.

Well, there is a lot to learn with the ScanNCut, but, I do believe it's potential is wonderful.... I wish there was a ScanNcut for Dummies!! LOL Thanks! Laura*

I did receive a "beginning short class" for free. That went over the basics and not much more. I really can't say enough about the machine - it truly is a wonder with all you can accomplish!! It just takes time! Thanks!!! Laura*

I have had to jump right in - using youtubes and such for appliques. I did also make a sweet Birthday card with it a while back that impressed my kids. It is just that it's potential is truly something else, learning how to do everything is another question!! I wish there were some help books on it or, classes offered some where!! Thanks!!!

I like them both, very neat. The pelican design looks familiar, like I have it but maybe not. Remind me where its from, please.
