For those that have asked for this:

here is the pic of the bottom of the spool of thread that I got from the estate sale. They sold it to me as Serger thread but some of the other spools were labelled Embroidery thread. I'm hoping that's what this is but if not that's ok. I still got a good deal on the thread at $1USD/spool

you got an excellent deal @ $1 a spool, they sell them upwards of $8 & higher so a very good deal! Yes I do believe they are embroidery thread & they have a lovely sheen to them even through the pc so a very good deal!~hugs~

I also think it is embroidery thread.Action thread might be a brand name.A good price .Why not try it out on a small design?

Does it have a stretch to it? I think it is thread used to sew action wear (shiny lycra etc) on a serger. I do actually have some serger thread which is shiny like that. I was going to try it on embroidery but haven't got around to it yet. Let us know how it goes.

It looks like embroidery thread, serger and sewing threads are dull not shiny like this. And dragonflyer is right it would be wonderful for rolled hems done with a serger. And it sure is a bargain at that price.

I agree with the others, looks like machine embroidery thread to me...one sure way to tell...if it works...it is! As a side note, it could also be used in a serger...they do have dual purpose!

I thought I'd get a general consensus before I tried it out. Guess it's time to try it out! - fingers crossed

I feel this is embroidery thread and at that price, a steal.

I agree - it was a good price for serger thread had it been that but now I'm happier that I managed an even better deal! Although I probably should have bought them all! :)

true, none of my other serger thread is shiny but I thought I'd get a general consensus before I tried it out.

I would say that it is definitely embroidery thread. The sheen on it alone tells me it is a polyester embroidery thread.

Me too. Is Action Threads the name of the company? Hugs. Nan W

I have no idea if it's the name of the company - I had asked that in a previous post but then someone posted that it obviously the type of thread meant for use on stretchy material and basically made me feel like an idiot for even asking. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that was confused. Thanks for making me feel better
