Welcome to our family, I lay all pieces (small or large) Together on the ironing board like a jigsaw puzzle. You can overlap. Then put applique sheet or baking paper over the top & press. TaDa, you have another sheet to hoop.Only do this once as sheet does tend to go hard. But still usable. I am running on these at present. No good stuff left. Hope this helps. :)
Welcome to the Cute Family. Visit often. A flower for you.
Hey! Great tip to put a cap of alcohol in the dissolved scraps! I have a container in the refrig. & am scared someone visiting may wonder what I am keeping in there! Probably should label it?

2createit, welcome to the 'CUTE' family - you have the answers I would have written - had I been here first - so I will leave you with a flower. *4U
Hello 2Createit. I slightly moisten the edge of the wss and you can stick another piece to the moistened edge to make up a useable sized piece. Hope you enjoy Cute.
Welcome 2createit. You got great advice, so the only thing I can add is a flower for you.
Save the scraps in a plastic bag so they aren't exposed to moisture or humidity. When you need to stiffen something you can disolve some of the WSS in warm water...just enough to disolve it and paint it on the item you want to stiffen. Then let the item air dry. I have a quart jar of stabilizer goop that I use for this. Put a capful of alcohol in the jar to avoid mold. You can also use it in a spray bottle if you don't make it too thick. Good Luck.*4U Good question for the newbies.
Thanks for the alcohol tip maryjo, I left WSS solution in a jar and boy, did I grow a nice culture of black mould. I thought of things to add like bleach (not very nice on cloth) and formaldehyde, which did not sound like a good idea either. *4U
thank you and being a newbie myself i have learnt lots from just reading on different days.thank you all at Cute *4u all.
Hello 2createit, Welcome to the cutie site, I reuse the larger pieces and place a few of them together to make one hooping and sticky tape them down in place. Any other scraps can be dissolved in water for starching free standing lace.
Oh, and it was remiss of me not to say "Welcome to Cute".
Hugs n roses, Meganne
This a beautiful Rose. I hope all of my flowers are this pretty! :) Some of these images, really bring a smile to my face. Thanks.
Buy some Water Soluble thread and stitch all your pieces into usable sizes. hugs n roses, M
Sorry, I didn't realise you were in Aus, I haven't checked whether or not this is available here. Every time I go to Spotlight I forget. LOL! hnr, M
Shopper's Rule Also sends to Aus, I buy all my thread from them and save thousands $$$. I bought some thread from an AUS seller on Ebay & it turned out to be (rubbish) in comparison to buying R&A so cheaply from SR. just my opinion. hugs n roses, M
