Bib with a simple name design on it.

Used my favourite method to tame the towelling, a simple cross-hatch fill in the colour of the bib - see pic #2.

WOW great idea would never thought of that.. It is so very nice, thanks for sharing the pict and tip. I enlarged it and can see very well what you are talking about, love it.

Simply perfect! I love towel bibs and the name should keep it from being "lost" at a care center or sitters house. I "lost" a lot of nice things when my children were in daycare centers.

Mops thanks for sharing your method of adding some crosshatching to the design. Its small tips like this that make this site so useful as well as everything else. A lovely bib

I noticed I posted an "embossed oval with bow" in Youembroidery in March 2011, so I must have been doing this for a long time as it makes embroidering on towelling so much easier.

mops, the cross hatch design looks so good with the band on the towel, they look alike to me! I love it!

Great way to make a bib! I think little towels like this one would be very useful. Nice and big to catch the big drops!

Yes, it's what is called a guest towel here, 30x50 cm or about 12" x 20". Opening the size of a cd, ribbing 15% shorter than the circumference of the hole. I usually do half a dozen or more at a time in different colours, ready to be embroidered.

Thanks for the additional information. I was wondering how you did that neck.

That method makes stitching on toweling worth it.

Yes, it does, it keeps the lettering readable after being laundered time and again.

Thank you. I made it for a friend who just collected it. She loved it and paid me twice what I had asked :)
