The "Bag Lady" has done it again. Another beautiful bag. How I wish I could have some lessons Toogie. Everything is perfect, even the lettering.
Very nice beautiful bag loved it nice colour. Well done.
I am going to tell you what my sweet husband says to me..
'You are right everyone is going to notice and point fingers and say look at that mistake how could she carry or wear that like that?'
It is lovely and I can understand exactly what you are saying as I would do just what you did. Now, taking out the emb that is another story, I would have to talk myself into taking out emb and if had enough fab would make a new one and put it on.
From the lady who hates to take out emb on something that just cannot have a hole picked in it...;-)
You do such beautiful work. May I suggest leaving it and starting the next project? Like I follow my own advice. You are a great artist in whatever you create. Love seeing your items as you encourage me to sew. Love your contributions!
Oh you do make me blush...I did leave it as it was finished before I noticed. Thank you for being so nice to me.
This looks every bit as nice as"the famous maker" bags!!
The R is a little further away but not noticably and I don't think ripping it out would make that much of a difference--But, me being me, I would have to rip out the entire monogram and start over--might as well make a whole new bag!
So I'm not the only one who isn't happy until it's perfect. Lol. No one but we sewers would notice it's off a hair. If you don't put it out they wouldn't notice. Trouble is we know. Eh? We are sisters in ripping.
Right now i am ripping out the machine quilting on a quilt I am making for my sister. it was about half done and I just didn't like how it was looking--boy are there ever some tinystitches. good that I have a nice new sharp ripper!!
Sorry so long in replying but thanks for all advice. She kept it just as is as I had already finished the bag when I noticed.
Fabulous bag! Well done! Can you tell me what pattern you used! Love the style of this one!
Your bag is very beautiful. As always, it is a good job.
Toogie, the bag is breathtakingly beautiful! I wouldn't have noticed the R had you not mentioned it. Should your daughter not like it that way (fat chance of that) let me know. I love it! Praying that you will have a better day today. You didn't mention why your mind and heart were elsewhere; but our Heavenly Father knows. Keep trusting in him; and keep stitching. I know of only one perfect person to ever walk this earth. You are allowed to make a mistake. The encouraging thing is that you fixed what you could. Sending much love. ~ Marjorie
What a great job you did! I love it and I'm sure your daughter will, too.
I think it is beautiful, we are always more critical of our work than anyone else ever would be....I had to go back and look for your problem with the monogram, I don't think anyone would notice if you didn't point it out. It is lovely!
I think I'll wait and see if she notices, although since she has learned to embroider, she will probably notice right away. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement .
Toogie all your bags are beautiful I wouldn't know where to start this one is so pretty the colours are lovely together hope your feeling better today xxx
God is providing a great ' pick me up' today, the birth of my first great grandson! Thank you!- Toogie
Toogie this is beautiful and the fabric is fantastic. I want one like it. How long do these bags take you to make please?
It depends on how many hours you have in a day!- lol- I sewed on this one a little at each time, so it took days. The one before this one ( the black and white) I cut out and made the same day, but I didn't have to cook, babysit or anything else that day
Toogie, what lovely fabric ! And again a beautifull bag!
Toogie I think your bag is beautiful I can't see anything wrong with the R
Well, like the Cutie below said we think the S moved. I still can't understand how it moved, because I loaded it on my card, like the photo at the bottom.
It's lovely despite the extra work involved. PS, I think it's the centre S which moved a little and not the R. Don't be worried, you will be the only one who can see it.
Such a cute bag overall. My grandmother would say about the monogram - you'll never see it on a trotting horse!
Wow! this is just gorgeous Toogie. I'm so sorry to read that you're having a bad day, but it won't last long because you are such a positive gal! I know your daughter will love this and I knew you'd go back and fix it, you're like me, I can't not finish something off. This is beautiful. Love Chris
Your bag making is always inspirational to me! You have a gift and i am glad you share it with us.
Toogie, I'm sorry you've been having a sad day and my heart is with you, but you have done a truly amazing job of soldiering on through that sadness and if you can make something this beautiful on a "down day" I can't wait to see your next project - so start planning, - you are so clever and so industrious - you are an inspiration to us all.
I don't know what to say, except thank you. It's not often I'm at a loss for words.
well it is very pretty regardless & no one but you will notice the things you forgot. ~hugs~
love these toogie, is this your pattern or can it be purchased some where?
