Yes, definitely prayers heading State side. Mother nature sure has had a tough time this year. I hope none of our Cuties get their homes damaged. Love Chris
Just been watching CNN. My heart goes out to all in Matthew's path. Please keep safe .
Thank you dear, my sister is in Tampa so will only get heavy winds but you never know if Matthew will change direction... I'm following the news closely, like that will do anything..... hugs, Dolly
My Son, Daughter-in-law and Grandson just moved to Jacksonville and about 12 other relatives up and down on the east coast. They are all staying - needless to say, I will be happy when this storm goes away!!! Biting my fingernails, Laura*
It will be a nightmare indeed. Many are going to be without power for unknown days. I feel most sad for those who in Haiti being such an impoverished country with little resources and no insurance. The dead in that area continues to grow. I moved to the South East years and years ago and have had my share of hurricanes (several very direct hits). Fortunately most (not all) people carry some kind of insurance to help them get back on their feet. I've worked with the Red Cross and several of my friends work for FEMA, these groups as well as many churches all step in with much need help. I continue to pray for those in the path of this storm. They all will need it.
Thanks for the prayers and thoughts. I hope everyone has a safe next few days.
I am in the Atlanta area and I am listening to the traffic report. They have even made all lanes of interstate 16 one way heading north west to accommodate the flow of traffic out of Florida and coastal Georgia. This is major traffic nightmare. Kay
So sorry for the additional traffic when ATL traffic is a nightmare on its own. We have been told there are no hotels until Macon or Northern ATL. RV friends say there is no overnight parking in areas that usually allow it due to the high numbers of RVs that have left the coastal areas. If I would have left, I would have gone west. I am staying here.
