I have an old Janome three thread serger & I can not get any loops on it at all? I have been playing with the tension for over an hour & am getting no where at all?Can someone please tell me what dial I need to do what with? The only one I think I know is the top is the upper looper, the red dot?

best of luck with this. I have not found mine but thanks to powagrl the link she sent me to is the manual I needed, my s-i-l printed it out for me & after reading the page I needed I reset it in minutes!!! After spending so long trying to get it going I am so thankful for this site & the help & knowledge of cuties everywhere.

They are in the washing machine waiting to be made into children's pillowcases then to be taken to our local hospital. Thanks again!!!

Exactly what I'd recommend.
Rethread your colours in the correct order - your manual should be clear about that - lower loopers first, needle thread last. Set the tension of all to the neutral setting - usually in the coloured block - sew a bit and then see which colour has to be adjusted.

lor. put three different color threads on it **then try to sew ***then you will see by the color which one you need to adjust ok???

Thread order is imperative. Check your manual or the one linked by powagrl

Sorry that you are having troubles. Sergers can really confuse me at times, too. Here is a link to the manual for what looks like your machine. Hopefully the diagrams will help. Good luck.
