I haven't been on here in a while cause there's been school stuff to do, and I think I talked about it on here before, but my machine wasn't fixed by the repair people back in september, so it's been packed up in its rolly bag ready to be taken to the shop for at least two weeks but I just haven't gotten around to it. I swear I'm gonna take it in tomorrow.

I've also had a weird injury. It didn't feel too tight but I was wearing a watch "snug" I guess you'd call it, like it stayed in the same spot and didn't rotate, basically around the clock for close to 3 weeks I think. I would take it off to shower and then put it back on until the next time I had to shower. You know that little loop that keeps the extra length of the strap from just sticking out and holds it down? Well that on this one is made of hard plastic. I had some tingling in my hand for a few days and thought it was just falling asleep from how I was holding it. However, I realized that it feels exactly the same as when I had injured a nerve in one of my fingers a couple years ago. Oh no... And that rectangle of plastic? I looked at some diagrams and it was sitting right on top of a nerve on the inside of my wrist, in more or less the same spot. It's been at least a day since I took it off for good, and nothing has changed. At least it isn't getting worse I guess.
So my pinkie finger and the adjacent side of my ring finger feel pretty asleep, along with the third of my hand that they connect to, and the connecting section of wrist down to where the watch was. I can feel and move them still, just not as much feeling and they're weak just like being asleep. My elbow also might be a little affected, and the rest of my hand is weaker but not as bad as those two fingers. At least it's my left hand. I guess I just have to wait it out till the nerve un squishes.
The thing that happened a couple years ago was that I got done with crocheting something and didn't have scissors, so I wrapped the yarn around my fingers and pulled to break it, but for whatever reason it didn't break. And my right ring finger hurt bad for a second and then was all tingly in most of it. That took months to heal. Not sure how many, but it was a while.
I'm hoping that this, being less traumatic, will go away a lot faster. Like a lot a lot. Ughhh. I swear I'm gonna have the weirdest stories to tell kids some day...

Hope the machine is going well with the service people.
For 'cutting' anything - always use scissors or a knife, as appropriate.
When I was a teen, my dentist had a go at me for biting my threads when hand sewing. The thread damages your enamel. Know about tangling things around fingers that won't break. Ouch.
Hope the nerve pain is all healed. I do not wear a watch any more. Had problems with my arm, changed to band which was too lose and watch slipped around and was broken on a drawer I was trying to open/close. Too many years ago now. Now I cannot see the hands without glasses, so use the phone or the clock on the wall.
Massage with water is good for wrist problems. Either under a running shower or in a spa tub if you have access to one.
Physio gave me that one years ago when I hurt my arm and was going on holidays, so couldn't go back for treatment..

I kept my word! My machine is at the shop. The lady put in the hoop I brought and test sewed one of the snowflake designs I'd been trying to do and we sat and watched it through all the times it messed up and broke or shredded the thread to like 2/3 of the way through when it shredded really bad. She said it looks like somethings messing with the thread up in the top area, like by the take up lever. They said it was gonna get sent out on tuesday and that it'd be back in 2 weeks but probably sooner. This better be the end of my machine troubles for a long long while

I am impressed that they worked through with you to ensure they understood the problem. How is your hand? Any time I have pain I do an exercise. Touch ring finger to thumb and slowly rotate hand with arm extended out to the side.

School stuff takes up lots of time and that has to come first in your life. Think if pushed we all have some unusual tales to tell. If its possible to get your arm checked out I think it would be a good idea. How is your cat?

I had similar "issues" and thought "oh no, carpel tunnel"??? Well it wasn't. I went to the nurse at work, she sent me to the local hospital for x-rays on my neck. Got sent to my regular doctor, who sent me to a neurosurgeon and that doctor told me I had 2 vertebrae in my neck that were "degenerating" and I needed surgery - said if I'd waited 2 weeks longer I could have had paralysis in my arm & hand. Go to your doctor and have it checked.

You can't make this stuff up. lol
I truly am sorry that you are having problems. That's gotta be annoying. I hope you are at least able to sleep. If it doesn't improve in a few days, go to see your doctor. Nerve damage is nothing to sneeze at.
