This is really nice... I like it a lot... so pretty. You've done a wonderful job. Keep up the good work.
Looks absolute excellent very stunning beautiful flowers is nice
Oh , that's truely marvellous. Looks like it is worth to buy that special die cut equipment. Thanks for sharing - Maria
Looks great Sue. Sometimes upholstery fabric is simply to heavy and dense for our machines. Told one of my daughters that very thing today . sometimes you need one of those commercial power machines like I use to use when I worked in a sewing plant making Levi jeans.
The fabric is really nice - mostly wool, but it springs back after pressing and I had trouble with the thickness in places.
The bag looks great, Sue. Was your machine skipping stitches no matter what you tried? I was using a fabric like that earlier this year and tried 3 different machines to make it work. Even the sailmaker machine didn't want a bar of it. I did eventually finish the bag I was also making and I sent some scraps of the fabric to a sewing friend interstate as she does love a challenge. She got along fine with it, using, I think, something like a size 12 needle, whereas I'd started with way bigger needle and kept going larger. As the fabric was really dense, my needles were probably bouncing right off it instead of piercing it as well as was needed. There's a lesson everywhere!
The fabric isn't particularly dense, but multiple thicknesses in places made it really difficult to keep topstitching straight. It embroidered really well!
Sue, you have done a fantastic job with this bag, love the flowers. Nice touch they look great. Sandra.
Looks like a strong bag no wonder you had trouble with the machine.
Worth the effort though it looks great.
Great combination and it's all come together so beautifully. Well done, love Chris
Lucky friend. I just love this bag - my colours. Beautifully made and assembled.
