A hedgehog requested by my granddaughter, but then 'borrowed' by her baby brother.

I do like projects where you can use up bits from your stash.

First of all, the baby is adorable. Can this pattern be purchased somewhere or did you make it from scratch. I bet Bella, my grand-hedgehog would love one of these. If not, her 'mama" my daughter-in-law would enjoy it for her.

I just made the basic shape, then added the ribbons after joining the back seam, when they were on I sewed the base on and then stuffed it.

He is so cute (the hedgehog), makes me want to begin collecting stuffed animals again. The baby is precious, too!

It's a really cute idea that you had. This takes the taggy blanket to the next level. Well done. P.S. Baby is adorable.

I puzzled over how to get the spikes until I noticed my overflowing ribbon box! and it was really easy, always a plus!

Yes I believe that was the first time that he was aware of something apart from mum, dad and sister.
