If I am doing fsl I leave it, if I am stitching a design I am in the same room. Well I will do something else if I can & I do have to go up & down the stairs a fair amount but I wouldn't leave home while it was running lol
My Machine always plays up when I walk away so I stay there. That way I can hear when something goes wrong
No I never leave it alone. I can turn around to cut fabric out but I never leave my room. Too many Gremlins.
Never, I got up one time and the thread came out of the take up lever and destroyed the machine. It was on my DD and when I took it in they had a recall on the part. I was so mad I had not heard about it.
Never - would not leave the machine out of my eyes. It is strange.
Even if I think now it's running properly and everything is fine it happens that there will be a sudden stop, a mess of yarn, breaking needles or whatever. No really I wouldn't dare to go away. But maybe if you have a real big and much more expensive profi machine it should be ok to leave it working in one room while you are around in 5 metres distance.
The most I will do is walk out of the room to feed the cats, other than that I stay with it.....That's how my necks get sew together on sweatshirts....when I am not paying attention, not only that I need to watch how my design stitch.......
Heck, I am even afraid to leave the room with it running!!!! I never leave it on let alone plugged in when.
Not on your life!. Mine knows exactly the minute I step away and freaks out. Lol
I am too afraid to leave it out of ear shot.. I have walked down the stairs to get a drink, etc. But I can still hear it and run up the stairs if needed.
I don't like to take risks! These machines are too expensive nowadays to buy and fix.
I did it once by accident because I received a phone call forgot and I had it on. Luckily it was ok and went into sleep mode when it was done.
Normally if I turn my back my machine lets me know! I once had a broken needle that messed up the design and machine and it needed repair. I was right there and stopped it straight away. It would have been a very expensive mistake if this happened and I was not home to stop it. My machine is too expensive for me to take that risk.
okay clarification, i did that like twice, and it was when it had been behaving
I did not see the post, but would never leave the machine running.I had a friend who left the house with her clothes dryer runner and it started a fire.
Once -- just once! My machines don't like it when I do anything but focus on them (one at a time)!
I have heard of people that set their machine and just walk away...mine would be in full rebellion.
Oh Bev. i do it all the time:):)Always ****
Maybe your machines are afraid you will put them out in the cold if they do not behave. lol
I also walk away from my running machine but can hear it when in other rooms so if the sound changes I hurry back to it. However, I wouldn't leave it running if I left the house.
Not me!
Seen too many machines muck up when someone turns their back in class, never mind by my lonesome at home.
I press the stop button to get something out of a nearby drawer if I feel it is a 'bad' day.
Not me. My machine knows when I leave the room and seems to get into mischief. I will shut it off to answer the door.
