This was quite a project. I am sure they will treasure your wonderful work. Nice idea ***
This is a really nice idea.Very beautiful, Shirley.
What a lovely gift for your parents. Beautiful work!
Both sides are beautiful. They need to rotate between the sides so you can see both.
OH Shirley, I just bet that you get a special thrill - each time you see that hanging in their living room - which side do they show most? You are like the family historian, aren't you? Have you also done the genology, too? Great work, Shirlene
Hello Shirley, your Quilt is so nice! Big work! Their parents love it certainly! Flowers for you
very nice and you should be proud of it..........lots of work. They do have paper for your printer to do pictures for a quilt but I haven't used it yet. Has any one? *4U
such a beautiful quilt, how did u get the pictures on the fabric.
Thank you. I had the pictures done at a print shop - I supplied the photos and the fabric and they copy onto special paper and then use an ironing press to heat set them onto the fabric. There are other methods today - special photo-transfer paper for your printer, but I haven't trien it yet. *4U
I love the "our house" in the middle of the quilt sung to the tune of "our house in the middle of the street". I tend to put a tune to things I see. How lovely it all is. Another proud moment.
Kezza, you make me laugh - I shall tell what they have to sing to the quilt now!!!! LOL Thank you. *4U
How wonderful Shirley, what a lot of work, your parents must have been thrilled, such a beautiful keepsake.
Beautiful Shirley. You are leaving a legacy.;0
Very beautiful, Shirley - bet they enjoyed getting this too.
congratulations with your parents and with your embroidery!*4u
How did you get the photos onto the fabric? Babe

I used photo-transfer paper for a quilt. You have to mirror your image before printing and be careful not to shift your iron when transferring, use an up-and-down motion, but the result is fine. The quilt's been hanging in my daughter's hall for over 8 years now and there's no discolouring.
a stunning family heirloom shirley, I guess your parents are very proud of it and of you of course. well done, bunch of flowers for your hard work
