Isn't it just great to get ones machine back. I wish you all the best for sewing up a storm
I definitely have been. I've begun the set of fall/thanksgiving freestanding napkin rings I was planning. A napkin ring of course, with the three layer maple leaf design from embroidery library. And my grandparents' table has 12 places, so if I decide to make the ring part out of something other than embroidery, I still have 36 leaf pieces to do.
Glad you have your machine back. Remember the fsl settings are different to regular embroidery that way the front and back both look good.
My machine happily works on -1 or -2 for most designs(except fsl) but my dealer likes the machines set on -4. It is good for some designs but I have also found it pulls too much with some designs so it really depends on factors like thread, stabiliser, fabric and the design as to the best settings. Like with ordinary sewing though I keep checking tension as I go and change it if I need to. I write these settings in the notebook I use to record designs as I do them along with thread info or problems if I have any.
Now is that skull from Urbanthreads? Looks like you have found yourself a good dealer. If its working well don't worry what they have set it at, just remember and keep it at the new settings. Happy carefree sewing
Glad you have your baby fixed and back. Try the snowflake and show us what it looks like.
good luck with the repairs. I always get a bit annoyed that they use starched linen or the like to do their test patch. I mean, who uses that fabric in real-life sewing??
Mine was fuzzy flannel. I might be able to actually use it for something
