UPDATE. I was able to attend my dear Aunts funeral service after all. When I dropped hubby off at the skin clinic I spoke with the specialist. He is reasonably happy with the way his leg is improving. I asked how long it would be to take care of the skin cancers and he said about 45 minutes. So I left hubby in his care and went to Auntie's service. I was so happy to be able to go. It was a lovely service.

My dear Auntie who turned 100 years 2 months ago passed away last Friday morning. She died peacefully in her sleep which was a blessing. The funeral is today but sadly I will not be able to go as I have to take Hubby to have 3 more skin cancers removed at the same time as the service. Luckily these 3 skin cancers are only small and will be done under a local anaesthetic. I also need to speak with the specialist regarding his leg which has not shown much improvement since the last visit. He was sure he was going to be able to cure it. I hope he comes up with a better solution today. Hugs

I am sure that your dear Aunt would understand your conflict with your husbands appointments. What a blessing to live a long life and pass easily in your sleep. ((Hugs)) for the loss you are feeling. Hoping that the fond memories you have with her will help to ease the aching in your heart at this time. I do hope that the doctors can help to get your husbands leg situation improved as well as getting the 3 skin cancers taken care of. The leg situation can be a scary situation and best not to be taken lightly. Prayers that all the medical staff and doctors will have inspiration and insight into how they can best help your husbands body. Pam

I was able to make the service while hubby was having the skin cancers removed. He said it would take about 45 minutes so I excused myself and hurried to the service just before the family went into the chaple. It was a lovely service and I was so pleased I could make it. I did not get to the graveside as it was time to go pick up hubby. He has to go back next week for a check. Hugs Shirley

My sympathy goes to you and your family, on the sad loss of your dear Aunt, She did reach a memorable milestone, and will be fondly remembered by all I am sure. Sad you could not be there, I hope you have some good news about the leg, and the skin cancer removal goes well. My husband has similar issues at the moment, so I know what you are going through. Brighter days ahead. Sandra.

Thanks Irene. Auntie had lots of stories she could have told us today but 1 day would not have been enough time to tell them all. Hugs

Think of all the wonderful years you have had with her! That is amazing and I hope you got some of those long-life genes. Set aside a time of quietness to remember your times with her. I hope you had great success with the medical folks today.

What a great age your aunt was. Will think about you today as you cannot be in two places at once. Hope all goes well with your husband

Thanks for thinking of me. I was very fortunate as hubby,s appointment was 15 minutes before the service. I was able to speak with the specialist and he said to continue with the treatment on his leg. Said it was looking a little better. I asked how long it would take to remove the skin cancers and he said about 45 minutes. So I left hubby there and made it to the funeral place jist before the service started. I am sure the Lord was with me as I really wanted to be there. Hugs
