I laughed when I saw this! Fantastic stitchout! I'm intrigued by the idea of stitching on this type of canvas. Thanks for all the additional info that you've provided.
Thank you, it did stitch out very well on this medium. For me, the stretching was really hard to get it back on the frame. Hugs
That's really superb! Grand idea to embroider on canvas thanks to Sue.
Yoga cat is very cute :-) Thanks for sharing - Maria
Looks good. I never did anything as big as this (I was experimenting with greetings cards) but I didn't like the little bits of gesso which were punched ot by the needle.
Thank you, I think, if I try this again, I will put some Dry Cover Up under it and that should stop the flakes from showing. Yours and Gerryb's were great. Hugs
This is a great design, just a suggestion if it was padded and then streched on to a frame that may do the trick maybe. Sandra.
Thank you, I wondered about that after I finished it. Something to try next time. Hugs
What an awesome job you did with this kitty......it looks terrific on canvas...Great project!!
I did a bumblebee on canvas. Turned out beautiful, however I had gesso flaking off all over the place. Ask the gal whose I saw first if she did & she said yes, but turned it over the next time & emb. on the back & it did fine!! The cat looks great!
Thank you, I remember the post when Spendlove and you did yours. Hers and yours were fantastic. That is how I knew to put the wss on top. However, I have some white spots that I think are gesso flake pokies. Hugs
Oh! this cat looks gorgeous, well done on sewing it on the canvas. Love Chris
Great work, it was spendlove who embroidered on canvas. I prefer to embroider on fabric then stretch it and staple it to the canvas frame. A very serene cat
Thank you, That is what I used to do and just wanted to try it her way. I'll stick with fabric and staple it to the art frame, Great kitty from Basketcase. Hugs
Isn't it fun to try something new! Cute design and I know someone is going to fall in love with it and get it framed.
