This bag you've done looks delightful& enjoy the colors used too. Thanks for sharing your work.
Thank you for taking time to make a comment. Makes me feel more confident about my work.
I LOVE it. Is that Burlap? I never thought about using burlap in a tote bag but It's just beautiful! Thanks for sharing and giving me new ideas. :)
Thank you! Yes, the bottom part is Burlap. I found this among the things my husband bought a long time ago, what he needed it for I do not know, but I could not throw anything away or give this away since I know this is well liked in the crafting world, just needed ideas on how to make use of it. Glad you got new ideas as well :))
Your bags are stunning, I always love to see new creations, and never tire looking at so many varied terrific works of art on this group. A talented group of cuties always have something new to inspire us all. Sandra.
Thank you Sandra and i can only say Amen to everything you said about this wonderful Cuties family. Mary
Your bags are Awesome!!!!Stunning work you done...
Love your bag. Do you cut your own patterns? Kay
Thank you, Kay. yes, I just cut fabric according to how big the fabric I have. I need to use up my stash.. Mary
Nope i never tire of awesome sewing you GOOOOOOOOOOOO Girlyyyy
Thank you, I am sooo happy to be making bags to help our environment. hugs,
No, no, no one is getting tired of seeing beautiful things - and your shopping bags are useful as well! Consider (by the way) how many plastic bags you might have avoided by giving your gifts. Many people like the idea of using fabric bags - I do that for long years too! You give inspiration ow to combine fabrics too. Thank you and go on - Maria
...and just noted: you wrote "I love Berlin", our capitol in Germany. Have you been there or maybe the friend who will be presented with the bag?
Thank you, Maria, that is also my point, to help use less plastic or avoid it all together. My girlfriend is from Cologn but now lives in Berlin, so I hope she will like it. Are you also from Berlin? hugs, Mary
No, I live in the Darmstadt/Frankfurt area (Odenwald) but I do have a friend living close to Cologne and recently have visited her. We bought a lot of wool and were knitting and talking :-)
I love seeing all the work that all of us do here. I think we all go through phases of producing different types of work. I too am currently in a bag phase. Bags are always so useful and here in the UK we have to pay to get each bag in all shops so its much better to always have on with you at all times
Thank you, you are all so kind in your comments. I have been making bags as gifts every time we are invited somewhere, I tell my husband that we can put the wine in the bag I make, I think one cannot have enough shopping bags.
Your comment reminded me of our trip to UK in 1996 or 1997. We rented a car in London and took off. We decided we wanted to buy some apples and other fruit to snack on and stopped at a large food center and discovered one had to put a coin in a machine to get a shopping cart and opted not to pay for a cart as here in the USA carts provided for free. It limited what we could buy as we couldn't hold that many apples. Later someone told us that we would have gotten our money back upon return of the cart. We just laughed. Kay
