Never knew about a stocking tree, but yours are lovely. Nice job.
Sew Cute. I also have never head of a stocking tree. Cute Idea!
Very nice work and Gus will know by next year to peek inside!
Toogie, I have never heard of a stocking tree. What a clever idea and one I am sure is going to catch on fairly quickly. Thanks for sharing!
I love it - I also love the idea of having a stocking tree. Haven't heard
about it before. In Germany there is the habit to place a plate, shoe or boot before the front door and wait for Nikolaus. Then the children sing the traditional Nikolaus songs (at least in my family they still do it) and meanwhile Nikolaus and Knecht Ruprecht are coming and fill goodies in the plate ....... Love all the different traditions around the world. How is yours? Do your grandchildren come and pick their stocking from the tree? Thks for sharing - Maria
The night before Christmas, we leave a plate of cookies and glass of milk for Santa's refreshments. I don't here anymore, but the children do it at their houses.
Christmas morning they see what Santa has left them in their stockings, at their own house.
They know Santa doesn't visit us, as we are too old & have no little ones here anymore, so Gram and Papa leave them a little something here at my house, in these stockings.
Last year I told my oldest grandson, I would be taking his stocking down since he is married. He started laughing and said his wife was waiting for me to make and hang her a stocking!-lol-(I had been putting her a little something like nail polish, manicure set, in his stocking with his things.)
I told them there will have to be some changes, since I retired. Just filling 10 stockings alone can add up quick. Then they all always have a nice gift under the tree. They still have a nice gift, but I didn't spend as much as I usually do. There are 20 of them now. I know you have a bunch too.
Oh, they spend the morning at their own house, letting the kids play with their toys, but they arrive right before lunch here. After we have lunch & clean the kitchen, they open their gifts and see what they have in their stockings. They are here all day and we eat all the leftovers for supper/dinner. I usually have a few more people by then, my sister and my husbands oldest brother eat too.
Lovely stocking and I love the fabric used. Well Toogie I have not come across a stocking tree before but I'm sure after many of us have seen yours there will be more
How adorable is that!!! I love it! Very nicely done!!! I'm here looking for ideas.
Cute stocking and the tree is hilarious! Well done Toogie, love Chris
Love your stocking tree and the stockings. Need to design something like that to hold my 110 nutcrackers.
Thank you for sharing Happy stitching
I almost stitched Gus a nutcracker instead of this deer, as I had some nutcracker fabric & Nora loves it.
So Awesome idea and Beautiful!!!Great work done
Like the way you added to the toe & heel.
Do the older kids get to keep theirs once they "age out"?
Kinda makes me said when you think how grown they are...I will offer it to them but they have their own at their house, so we will see. Caleb knew his wouldn't be up this year but the other 3 are in for a surprise or disappointment.
