Carolyn, it looks terrific, you amaze me with your patience to get it just right, or perfect I should say. Well done. Sandra.
Nicely done.
Evenweave linen and Aida fabric can both be used. However it takes a bit of care. I find it helps to starch the fabric before hooping it, easier to get it straight. Most importantly the cross stitch has to match the fabric. I digitise those in mm, I think in the States fabric is sold in so many threads to an inch. A bit of arithmetic may be needed to get it exactly right. But it can be done - Sue and I have both digitised and embroidered on fabric traditionally meant for cross stitch.
Love it. You always have good ideas, your friend is very lucky- Hugs,
I cannot find your problem.. It looks wonderful to me. Always wondered if it was possible to emb a Xst design on Xst fabric.. Thank for showing me it can be done. ;-)
Is there nothing that you will not tackle? Your cross stitch looks amazing
Lovely present .I think it would be nearly impossible to get the whole design lined up with the grain of the fabric but it is a excellent first attempt. If it wasn't for the enlarging of the photo it wouldn't be noticeable.
Someone may have some tips on how to line the fabric up ,so everything is perfect
