I have fallen in love with ITH zipper bags. I recently saw a tutorial about a bag, and the sewist used washi tape. I didn't even know what it was, but my daughter knew, and so I bought a small roll. I used it today, and I won't go back to painter's tape or any other kind. This stuff is great! You give it a little stretch before using, and it makes it even stickier, and leaves no residue when pulled off. And, best of all, can be re-used. My new favorite notion!

Where are you using the tape? Is it to hold something in place before you sew it? When I googled it they were all very decorative. Does it gum up your needle if you sew over it?

I used the tape to hold the zipper and then fabric down before sewing. I did end up sewing over some, and it did not gum up my needle at all. I've had trouble with painters tape not holding the zipper down well enough, but this washi tape held great.

Hi Sarah, I just Googled it and it's like a sticky tape roll but there are so many colours! Have a look at Google and just type in WASHI TAPE and click on the IMAGES tab. Happy New Year, love Chris
