I had made a panel of English paper pieced patchwork, but it wasn't big enough to make a bag (I'd run out of the fabric.) So I decided to make one half of the bag in a denim fabric with a brown thread in it as well as the blue. The embroidery design is from Embroidery library. I splashed out and used In-R-Form to give it a nice shape and resilience. It also has cute little antique brass feet in the base which don't show in the picture.

I like it that you used a denim fabric for the back of the bag. Both sides look lovely.

Another wonderful creation (sorry........multiple creations) from the Spendlove Stable. Like me, I see that you very much like the designs from Embroidery Library (as well as Urban Threads). Noting your comments regarding running short on your fabric stash, you should have a word with your Moderator mate from the Welsh Borders............she appears to be running out of space to store her stash!! Only joking Caroline......................honest.

Really wonderful pieced side and the stitch out certainly expresses what you said in your description. Well done. I think the fact that it is 2 diff sides make it even more attractive. Enlarged it and could see the top edge of the pieced side what a great topping for that side. Your little feet show on the enlarged denim side.

How beautiful and the colours really blend well. I love it and it's always useful to have extra bags when out and about shopping etc. The saying is great too. Love Chris

It was a Moda scrap bag and I'd already used quite a lot of it. I didn't want to mix it with anything else!

Perfect design to put on that bag. Both sides are great! The little feet show a tiny bit in one photo. How many feet did you put on?
