I've finally finished this baby quilt for a dear, dear friend who tried for 8 long years to have a baby. She finally was successful and I've been working on this quilt for 6 months! It has been slow going as I can't sit for long hours and sew but I finally made it. I also didn't get it out except for weekends because my smaller grandchildren are very curious about my sewing and want to "help". With almost 600 pieces cut, I really didn't need that kind of help. It's made out of flannel and is super soft.

You have done such a beautiful job Jerrilyn. I am sure the mother is going to be absolutely thrilled

What a special gift this will be! Your fabric choices and of course the flannel will make this a favorite for the child. Great for snuggling with them on your lap. Prayers surely helped bring this child. This is sure to become a favorite of mother and child. Beautiful job! Pam

I thank each of you for making such lovely comments. She is a precious young lady who I've mentored for many years and she is very dear to my heart. This little baby girl has been prayed over for 8 years now and I know she is going to be something very, very special.

It is cozy and soft. I hope she gets to use it as she is living in North Carolina at this time and it's been unusually warm there.
