Try Ebay. Check satisfaction rating carefully. Had good luck there. Bought full embroidery software.

I started out with Artista, but it is way too expensive to keep up with the updates. When I bought a new computer, there was not a port for it. I was told I'd have to buy another computer so the dongle could be used. Instead, I bought Embird. It does everything I need, no dongle, can just purchase the modules you need, and the upgrades are not expensive.
Embrilliance is a terrific program. I use it, love it and find it easy to understand and also they have really good help on their website as fellas on youtube. Main reason I like it though is no security dongle to worry about losing. Next is the price, very affordable since you can purchase modules as you can afford or want. I do believe they have a free trial period, so you can test it out. Hugs. Nan W
Thank you for replying to me. I talked to a lady at a Sewing outlet about updating my Artista and there was none for my version, but she suggested Embrilliance. She uses that program and loves it. When I look at the website there are several different programs to purchase. Which of them do you use? I am not sure which ones I need. I would like to be able to digitize designs myself, plus change and combine the purchased designs.
I started out with Essentials, then later on added Stitch Artist. Essentials may be enough for you depending on how much manipulating of designs you plan to do. There are videos that are helpful to give you an idea of what these programs can do.
To up date your Artista should not be $2500. Check with your dealer. I am a Bernina girl also and love their software. I have not had the money to buy the latest and greatest machine, but have tried to keep up with the soft ware. Even if you go from Ver 3 to Ver 6 designer plus , you will love the new features. Just make sure you get the dongle in the deal or it won't work. Kay
Thanks for info. I did check to see if my version 3 could update and it cannot. I haven't checked about just moving up to a 6 though.
