Trying out a new (to me) technique. These hexagons are hand stitched starting with a circle of fabric. Basically, the side is stitched to the centre six times. I decided the back looked nicer than the front so I used a tiny button to cover the join. I would normally do English Paper Piecing so this is a change!

I am new to hexagons ,, cant quite see how you have done this from a circle . Did you use a template ?How did you disguise the raw edges ?
I am looking for a project but dont want to do one just because ,,, if you get my drift . i want do do something for a purpose ,, "what I dont know" any suggestions I would be grateful for. Also how do you disguise the stitches when sewing them together ,, I use same color thread and tiny stitches . Sometimes I can see the stitching which puts me off . My sewing friends tell me i am to fussy ,perhaps I have been sewing to long with my machine . I admire your work and your take on things ..Thanks from Hilda in New Zealand

Just watched a show about this on TV. Itching to try it. I also love the button side better. Now all I need is time.

I agree, the back is far more interesting than the front. And your buttons are lovely.
