Your font choice is really perfect for this doily!

I've been striving to get my satin border stitching as perfect as yours for a while now. Got a new machine and that really solved my problems!

I love how a repeated initial can make something so special. What a great idea to personalize a gift for a friend. I can do that in my software so will have to play around with it. Be blessed.
