I use magnetic hoops, so I have just only to put the towel between2 flat metalics frames
HOPE YOU HAVE/ HAD FUN IN YOUR SEWING ROOM!! I SO VERY MUCH UNDERSTAND!! HOPE YOU WERE ABLE TO STITCH YOUR TOWEL ONCE YOU HAD THE HELPFUL ADVICE- HOPE THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO GET DOWN TO THE SEWING ROOM AS OFTEN AS YOUR HEART NOW DESIRES, I KNOW THAT MY SEWING SPACE HAS A FANTASTIC WAY OF LIFTING MY SPIRITS, ENJOY!! Pam
LUCY, I NEVER HOOP TOWELS AS I THINK IT MIGHT BREAK THE HOOP. I HOOP TEARAWAY STABLIZER. SPRAY THE STABLIZER AND STICK THE TOWEL TO THAT. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. HOPE YOU FIND A METHOD THAT WORKS FOR YOU.
TO CENTER IT ON THE HOOP, FOLD IN HALF, PLACE THE MIDLINE ON THE HALFWAY MARKS ON YOUR HOOP, UNFOLD AND ADJUST TO HEIGHT YOU WANT (TO CENTER YOUR DESIGN), PIN. HAVE FUN, DEAR!
LUCY, I DON'T HOOP ANY TOWELS. I BASTE THEM IN THE HOOP AFTER I HAVE FOUND THE EXACT CENTER. ALSO PUT THE WSS ON AT THAT TIME...OR TAPE IT ON AFTER IT'S BASTED. I JUST HOOP MY STABLIZER.
I DO IT THAT WAY TOO LUCY. GOOD LUCK WITH IT ALL.
LOVE FROM CHRIS IN A VERY HOT NEWCASTLE, AUSTRALIA.
Me too. And, I put topping on the towel that washes away afterward. It pops out the stitching and makes it look nicer.
I follow this method also... pinning in the corners until I get it started. Hugs, Judy...
