Love it, love it. I like this much brown, compared to the earlier bag, too. And thanks again for showing us how to do the tab.
Now that is just plumb beautimus. Love the Monogram, love the deco stitching on the bottom. Love the tab. This is a wonderful bag.
Well - I think it's gorgeous and I've seem some retail bags that weren't as nicely done as this. Great job.
Love it all. The added stitching border details the fabric.
Wonderful bag and wonderful font! I really love all the details - for example the border on the lower part - and it looks so special because of your signature. What great ideas. Thank you for sharing - Maria
I will see if she likes it Saturday when I go. She has asked me to come Friday and stay 2 nights, but we had plans for Friday. Our daughter was playing at a church, but because of all the flu, it's been canceled. Now I could go, but we will see. I think she will like it just because she is so nice!
You are bags are so beautiful. I am amazed @ your creativity. I especially like your zipper pull. Thank you for sharing with us.
Gorgeous little zip bag Toogie.... Your friend will love it. I just finished one of these as well, so our minds were thinking the same. I'll post it in a bit. I like the way that you put the fabric tab on this one..... how did you do that? What size strip?
I put the directions for the Zip Tab in Sewing.
I love your little mermaid bag, fabric and your design.
Your bags are always so lovely. So enjoy seeing them.
This bag turned out very nice, she will love and brown looks good!
Thank you, I guess if you dress it up enough you can ignore the bottom color.-lol- I thought the light color would show soil easily, so that's why I wanted the darker bottom.
That looks wonderful. Your friend will surely be pleased.
I think so. Pearlie is so nice, I wish I would have met her sooner. My husband thinks we are like school girls, spending the night--makes me feel like one!!-lol- She has been widowed twice, so she must get lonely.
This bag is beautiful, Toogie. I love your fabric, the monogram and think the zigzag decorative stitch is a perfect touch.
Now that you have used the last bits of your fabric, I wonder what your next choice will be.
Well Mops, I do have more of this. I actually bought another piece, at a shop when I got home just like this, because it was also on clearance. Of course, I don't want to make them all alike, even though they will go to different people.
The decorative stitch is a step down and up zigzag, I guess you would call it. I started to do a triple ZZ when it goes over the same stitch 3 times, to make it bolder, but I liked this best when I was playing with the stitches. Thanks again for your reminder.
This bag has turned out beautifully Toogie. Great stitching, and the font is terrific. Love Chris
Thanks Chris, the font always stitches so nicely. I was uncertain to match the color thread with the chevron smoky brown or the brown fabric.
Oh ! Toogie, you did very well. I do really like the decorative stitching, and monogramming touches. It looks super and beautifully made. The side seam looks good like it is, don't be hard on yourself. Sandra.
Thank you Sandra, I know Pearlie will appreciate it. Her and I have my quick friends. It's so good to have someone whose likes are similar to yours.
Lovely bag. Your brown look very nice, not sure what you saw in your mine-eye, but I like the colors tog.
your friend will like this bag very nice. Your monogram looks pretty big you used the letters on your machine? I wonder if my brother would be able to make big letters too. I have had my machine for awhile still trying to learn, need more time to practice. Have a fun weekend
Thanks 2newbie!
What kind of machine do you have? Mine are Brother single needle, just 4x4 and 5x7 fields. I would love to have something bigger, but since I don't play the lottery and emb machines don't grow on trees, (lol) it will remain a dream!
The font was a purchased font, not one on my machine. How long have you had your machine?
I do hope to have a fun week-end, not all work, thanks.-Toogie
I have a brother too innovis 1250 it is a single needle. I have the same dream someday maybe. I have had my machine for about 2 years but I mostly sew. I haven't embroidery a lot I am nervous I will mess it up. I need lessons on what to do. someday.
Don't be afraid! I never had a lesson in my life! Get you an old sheet from a thrift store or cheap one at Walmart. Cut you some pieces large enough for your hoop. Cut the first piece, say 9x12, so you have plenty room to move one way or the other for your 5x7. You can reduce size of your fabric some as you get more comfortable. Mark you a crosshair + and you can move your design around on your screen, to find the exact center of the +. Just practice some designs first and then you won't be so scared, to stitch on something you sew. Good luck and let us see your sewing too. Go to Community at the top header. Then click on Sewing. You can make a post & add your Sewing photos there. It will really make your flower garden grow, too!!! Have I tempted or encouraged you enough now/ I hope so!!!-Toogie
