I know it has been long while since I have shared something. I just finished this cross quilt. My son drew the cross I digitized it. The stitch I chose as I was working on it...... brought to my mind the song by Chris Tomlin Amazing Grace (My chains are gone). So I made this for my oldest to remind him by his grace he is set free. I machine hand stippled and framed.

My little GG son Caleb (8yrs old) went to the piano at church Sunday sat down and played Amazing Grace, of course I cried.

Lillian just hearing you got to GO to church, has made me emotional. I bet he played it well, too!
This was the first song Ashley learned on her fiddle, by ear, too. My sister-in-law has now passed away, but I remember her clearly exclaiming the recognition of the song,as Ashley played. We were on the front porch & Ashley was on the back porch, at my in-laws.
I am glad you got to go and on the day Caleb played!
