This happened on mine just the other day. I hope you figure it out, usually that means the thread is getting caught somewhere.

On mine all was going fine then the bobbin thread started showing on the top. When I followed the top thread through the machine it all looked fine, I rethreaded anyway and it did it again. It turned out that the thread was catching on the spool. I have my spool sitting on a stand behind my machine and the thread was catching as it was unwinding too much at once. I used a thread net and it was all working well again.

LUCY, TRY RETHREADING TOP AND BOTTOM THREADS AGAIN MAKE SURE THEY ARE CAUGHT IN ALL TENSION PLACES. TRY WINDING THE TOP THREAD AROUND THREE TIMES ON THE FIRST PART FROM THE THREAD SPOOL. ( THE SILVER PART WITH THE LITTLE HOLES IN. ) ARE YOU USING THE RIGHT BOBBIN CASE.? IS THE BOBBIN THREAD GENUINE JANOME OR ANOTHER BRAND. YELLOW DOT BOBBIN CASE OR NO DOT. YOU MAY BE USING THE WRONG BOBBIN CASE HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. NO YOU DO NOT NEED TO ADJUST ANY TENSIONS AT ALL SANDRA.

check that it hasnt just jumped out in the bobbin threading but usually a problem from the bottom is a top tension issue it may have jumped out of the take up lever(the bit on the top that you thread after the thread guide) the other thing to look for is broken thread in the top tension -I would be reluctant to play with the tension until everything else is checked out
