These booties are so pretty, and so is the doll. How do you make the dolls? I have made porcelain dolls so just curious on how you made these. Thanks Beautiful
The dolls are bought as kits prices vary from £40 to £100 consisting of head arms and legs they are paint with special paint that is heat set for each layer of paint applied it can take up to 20 layers to get the transparency and skin colour with veins and blemishes and slight blushing then good quality mohair is rooted to give the doll hair and sealed also eye lashes or hand painted hair can be applied and then a cloth body is attached to the limbs and filled to give weight and cuddly feeling of a baby and then dressed in baby clothes including nappy with a talc wafer to make the reborn smell like a freshly bathed baby my prices vary due to the doll kit and materials used
I have a website if any one is interested
Oh my word! The little booties are so beautiful and the doll is gorgeous! So life like, real looking babe. Amazing work you do.-Toogie
Thank you Toogie she turned out lovely and is so pretty but then I noticed she had a defect on the base of one big toe she must have got over heated in my oven and although I have reduced her price she is still sadly waiting for some one to buy her
I guess I didn't look closely enough...I thought it was a real baby! Silly me.
What fabulous booties! The ribbon bow is such a nice finishing touch. I can't decide which one I like best as they are all so lovely.
Thank you Penny must admit they are addictive to seeing what they sew out like in different colours haaa
Your dolls are amazing! The little lace shoes look perfect.
