It is beautiful...quilts look so differently when they have been quilted with a long arm machine as opposed to a sewing machine.
Where does one start when commenting on this wonderful quilt.
The way you make the embroidery stand out with the variety of blues used in the blocks, the designs on the corners, the white side that helps the top pop.. All together it has a delicate beautiful gorgeous calm feel. So glad you shared.
It never ceases to amaze me what one woman with thread can accomplish! Combined ME with quilting is one of my favorite things. I like how you let the quilting create such a soft look. Sometime I think quilting becomes too dense and takes away from the drape of a quilt. Your embroidered corners are really eye catching and such a lovely design to put there. Fabulous quilt!
Oh, that's a dream - these wonderful colours and everything made with great love and experience. Thanks for showing - and Good Nights in this cozy sleeping room. For me - I guess i would sit on a chair in front of the bed and admire it instead of sleeping :-) ;Maria
That is beautiful. How long did it take you to make the quilt...I know it was a lot of work!
I can't remember, but I had it machine quilted and the shams cost almost as much as the quilt did. This is completely machine done so it does not take as long as my hand quilted or hand applique does.
Your work on this quilt is amazing and the quilt is just beautiful. The blues are so pretty, I thought you had emb the border along the outer edge, but when I looked at the close up I saw it was blocks. Love how you assembled it all.-Toogie
